Great cottage with everything you could need, very well equipped. Lovely welcome pack. Views of Skiddaw from the window were amazing! Perfect location for walks from the door and to the local pub The Coledale. Only downside was that the bed was too soft for us.

Cosy and comfortable, Spa Cottage is ideally located for a Lake District holiday. Well equipped and very clean, we really appreciated being able to hike straight from the front door some days. The friendly village shop opposite provides all essentials plus delicious treats. Communication with the host was excellent both before and during our stay and we will definitely return.

Lovely cottage in one of our favourite locations. Ideal position in the village across the road from the shop. It was on-street parking and as we stayed at Easter, the parking was a nightmare. For this reason we wouldn’t stay here again. Which is such a shame because we loved the cottage. Good quality furnishings - including duvet and bedding - and well resourced in the kitchen.

Spa Cottage is perfect in every way. This was our second visit in January and won’t be our last
It’s very homely and comfortable and lacks nothing with a well equipped kitchen too.
It’s warm and cozy with option to put the log burner on, although the heating is wonderful
Internet is fast, TV is free view so lots of choice
The beds are very welcoming after a day on the Fells. The bath is deeeeeeep!!
Our dogs stayed in the dining room so safely and cleanly restricted to one room with the kitchen for water. Enclosed garden assures their safely too and the nearest Fell literally up the road for early morning or later afternoon leg stretch
With the shop, now with a cafe, across the road, you can nip there in your dressing gown!

Braithwaite is a great centre to stay in. It has a shop, coffee shop and a very good restaurant, The Ivy House, where we had two evening meals. It is good for buses to Keswick and walks. The cottage is very small and if you are self catering bring condiments oil etc, washing up liquid and towels. Lots of games to play and books to read. Bed comfortable with a good duvet and pillows. No sunshade for sitting in the garden. Owners very helpful and responsive.

This was a lovely, warm and well presented cottage in a great location. The only downside was that there was a hand held shower over the bath, no stand up shower. Other than this, it was excellent.

We found everything about this cottage delightful. The location was excellent, with plenty of walks available without the need to go out in the car. Keswick was an easy walk away, and an even easier bus ride. The village shop opened at 8.30a.m, every day, including on Sundays and didn't close until 5.30 p.m.
The cottage itself was well equipped, spotlessly clean and warm - just what you needed after a long walk in the rain. Had the weather been better, we could have enjoyed drinks or meals outside in the well fenced pretty courtyard garden - as it was only the dog got to enjoy this facility.
We would stay again.

This property and location exceeded our expectations. The owners have done everything to make their cottage a delightful place to stay - by the end of the week we felt as though we lived there. Little surprise then that we'd love to return for another week.

The location was perfect in a very quaint village , Spa Cottage offers all the comforts you could wish for with breathtaking scenery all around , close to the local shop and pub , a great position to go on local walks and to visit nearby lakes , the owners very friendly and welcoming and even left us a homemade Lemon drizzle cake which we had with tea on arrival ….already booked up again for our winter stay …a beautiful place that we cannot wait to be back enjoying …perfect !

Lovely place, we felt very comfortable and at home. Ideal location and enjoyed the log fire, I would recommend it.
Would have preferred more hot water in the evenings for x2 hot baths or improved shower head pressure.

Spectacular village location. Surrounded by peaks, characterful and very well equipped cottage...... We had a great week using Spa cottage as our base. The cottage has all a couple away for a week needs. Kitchen is small but a mix of eating in and eating out suited us fine, and it had all the equipment we needed when we did cook. Always managed a parking spot right outside the cottage each evening which was great. Met Kirsty in the village and she and Chris were excellent hosts. A bottle of wine, lemon drizzle cake and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival was a delightful touch. We enjoyed the wine in the sun trap garden in the evenings. Highly recommended.

This was a well placed cottage near all amenities. It was very comfortable and the heating was efficient. When we head a minor problem of a drawer sticking the owner came round promptly to fix it. I think the oven could could perhaps do with updating but it wasn’t a major problem

Set in a great location, village shop directly across the road with 3 pubs close by. Good base for access to local walks.
Spa Cottage has all the amenities you would expect and has been maintained to a high standard. Good communication with the owners before and during the stay.
Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend this property to all.

this is a great little place to stay : pretty cottage. pretty
village.
If we had to come up with any shortcomings, I would say the storage heater in dining room doesn't seem to work well and if you are not eating out there isnt a lot of food storage space, but these are very small matters in comparison to the pleasure of staying.

Absolutely delighted to stay in this beautiful cottage. Very high standard of cleanliness and overall quality. Communication with the owners was very easy and they were very accommodating too. Couldn’t be a better location for access to walking routes from the doorstep and beyond as well as local places to eat and drink. Handy having the village shop opposite too! Would highly recommend, we had a wonderful stay thank you! Jilly and Paul

Wonderful cottage in a stunning area of the Lake District. Everything you need for a perfect stay. I can’t remember the last time I slept so well. Pooch friendly, but please do take your best friends blankets to drape of the sofa & chairs, leaving this wonderful clean cottage clean for the next holiday makers.
Can’t wait to return later in the year
