nothing sticks out
the property was out of the way 5k and 150m of climbing in a round trip to the nearest town for an evening meal. the company sent me numerous emails for information, passport details etc. booking in online but they did not respond to my repeated question about suitability for cyclists and a place to keep the bikes. in my opinion it was not suitable for cyclist because it was up the top of steep hills and isolated. it was also the most expensive place we stayed in 14 nights by a large amount. once there and before leaving another round of checking passports - for one nights bed and breakfast - poor

Nice room, balcony, view.
No dinner service so I hiked back to town.

Automatic check-in & check-out, quick and easy, no interactions all self operated. Location is nice, Getaria is a very nice town to walk around and have a bite. Very practical for an efficient one night stay.
Its extremely dark around the outside at night and a remote location, a bit hard to find and a bit spooky since there is nobody around and you go in with just a few codes. Luckily its all very easy. Its very basic option for the price.

Eli and her husband were so accommodated and kind, they helped us with any queries and went above and beyond for hospitality.

Virtually nothing. The place is clean.
We were lucky to find another person on the property. That person helped us check in. The place is about 3 km from town center up some steep hills. That's not a surprise in this part of Spain. What is a surprise is that we had no directions and used tourist information which was wrong. Long story short, getting there was a multi hour cross hill trip.
The apartment was untended and the facility had no one with information. We were charged for a breakfast that never arrived. The price was double what it should have been for a place like this. We stayed in 20+ hotels, pensions, casa rurals, etc. on this trip. This was, by far, the worst value for money.

It was an uncomfortable stay at Xabin Jatetxea. Firstly we couldn’t get in the room. Their was no staff reachable. The telephone number was not answered. So we waited for an hour to get in. The room was not nice ground floor with view to the terrace. It was Very loud. We could hear all the neighbors.

Nothing-it was a horrible experience
Not a human in sight. Download app for self checkin, self scan passport (didn't work but apparently didn't matter), open doors with app. Doors lock behind you like a prison. Freezing cold. Automatic locks locked us in our room - fire hazard if battery/power failure. Prepackaged grocery store croissants and pastries from a factory. Noisy room, echo chamber. No proper blinds on windows. Slippery bathroom floor and worst: an owner who just doesn't care enough to show up for anything. When we complained he blamed us for everything. Do not stay here. No value for price paid. This is a hostel.

Lovely hotel. Beautiful scenery too and over looking the vine yard. We were the only ones staying there too so very quiet and we were give a key to front door so we come and go as we pleased. We had breakfast too but we still had the full works put out even though it was just the two of us. The owner is lovely and a pleasant place to stay.
