About this house rental

You’ll love staying in this house, it’s a whole vibe.

Kick back and relax in this stylish 1942 farmhouse. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are on the main level. Fully stocked kitchen and the most lush living room in town.
Ther

The greenhouse in the back has over 100 succulents & cacti and is a great space for meditation. Then you can mix up a cocktail and sip it out by the fire in the back.

I promise, you’ll be wishing you could rent it longer.

The house has 3 bedrooms, all with queen beds.
The space
The property is very quiet and tranquil.

In the basement there’s a tv and a large comfy couch to snuggle up in to watch a movie.

In the back yard there’s a grill, there’s a shaded lounge area, and a second lounging area surrounding the fire pit.

The house was built in 1942 as a farm house on what used to be an apple orchard.

I remodeled the home in 2011, and recently up dated the main bathroom shower. I have loved owning this home and I especially love the neighborhood. My favorite spot to sit is in the tree swing in the front yard

Super easy stay and house was great. Host was easy to communicate with and we loved the simple decor with all the beautiful plants and cute updates to an older home. We really enjoyed our stay!

Overall we made this work for our family, but there were concerns that couldn’t be resolved during our stay. First, let me say that the communication of the owner was stellar, and that they’ve made many upgrades to an 80 year old property. What I list below was unexpected from the pictures not fun to deal with during our stay: 1. Too many plants in the house. Though plants are shown in the pictures there were almost twice as many as shown, including four large cactus. Having little children with us made the living room not only very challenging to gather in, but also a hazard. The plants took up so much space in the living room that we had a hard time gathering in there. 2. Cleanliness of the basement. The upstairs was clean and ready for living, but the downstairs appeared to be an afterthought, and didn’t appear cleaned. This was brought up to the owner over text, and I was assured this was an oversight by her cleaner and would be addressed. 3. No/thin curtains in several rooms. With the morning sun this time of year, unless you’re a morning person, getting a bright wake up call at 5:30 isn’t ideal, and there were no thick curtains or blinds in two of the rooms. In the downstairs bedroom, there wasn’t any coverings at all, raising privacy concerns. 4. No AC in one of the bedrooms. The house was advertised as such, but one of the rooms lacked its own AC unit, making nighttime sleep hard. 5. Downstairs shower. Very small, low water pressure, and no shelving for product.

Booked to allow dogs in yard, owner emailed day of arrival stating new sod was laid, try not walking on it. Owner showed up on property around 9:30pm to check on sprinklers, confronts people staying in VRBO. Owner has Amazon packages delivered multiple days therefore renters had to bring large boxes inside for safety. Pictures of VRBO were not depicted properly. Dead animal skulls in multiple areas of property inside and out, skeleton decorations in full view, skulls and words such as Rancid spray painted in garage walls. Renters did not feel safe.

The house was wonderful. We loved all the plants and the well stocked kitchen! The location was good as well and I wish we had more time to spend in the backyard. The layout was nice with 3 queen bedrooms. There could have been less dog hair on the furniture.

We absolutely loved this home! There are so many homey touches, plants galore, and the host was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The location has easy access to so many things (starbucks basically walking distance) and was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this home.
