They need more food options onsite, meals were really difficult with the limited offerings. Also, more towels and robe change out stations - it was like carrying around soggy dogs

So many things about Murrieta Hot Springs is 5-star. The hot springs, the wellness part, the facility and how they harvest the mineral water at different temperatures is amazing. The adorable room gifts are thoughtful. But it is overshadowed by really bad hotel operations and service. I was an overnight guest for the weekend. I arrived at 2:30 and stood in line at the reception behind 2 parties (two couples) and it took almost 30 minutes for me to get to the desk. I’m informed that my room isn’t ready, I can start using the hot spring facilities as I await a phone call when my room is ready as check-in time is 4pm. After 1.5 hours still no call. At 4:38 I have to call the resort guest services and I am told my room isn’t ready. I emphatically explain that I need to get into my room as I’m soaking wet and need to make a winery tasting as all the Temecula wineries close at 6:00pm. They locate an available room and beckon me to the reception to program my wristband room keys. I spend another 30 minutes behind 4 parties trying to check in and as a result don’t arrive to my room until well after 5pm and consequently miss my wine tasting in Temecula 23 minutes away as the door shut on my face as I walk up. The walls of the rooms are thin, we heard everything that the romantic couple was doing next door. So if you are coming for relaxation, make sure you don’t make any plans outside of soaking in the resort because like me, you will burn 1+ hours in the check in/out process.

Unfortunately when we returned from our event at 10:00pm our key didn’t work to get into our room. We called the front desk numerous times but couldn’t reach anyone. Finallly after 20 minutes someone answered their main line. The person who assisted us said that this tends to happen.

Very lovely property in a winery with vineyards, beautiful landscape, and of course, WINE!

This newer hotel still has a lot to work out, rooms are trendy and cute but LOUD real loud. Not just normal hotel noise. It’s more like don’t get any sleep LOUD. The lobby bar is very cool.
We kindly called to ask for a late check out and the staff on the phone was rude, told us ‘you need to leave your room now’. Did offer a day pass at a price. A simple we don’t have a late check out available today would have sufficed. This resort property was renovated from a small college and it shows. They kept a lot if staff, which is great, love that! but they are not trained in hospitality. Spa was fabulous ! We shared our frustrating sleep experience at check out. Staff just shrugged his shoulders. Unfortunately, for the price, we won’t return. I suggest a day pass and spa visit.

Cannot say enough about how wonderful my trip was to Murrieta Hot Springs. All the pools, the cold plunge, the bar service at the pools, the food!! Wonderful. Highly recommend!

For the price of the stay you definitely don't get your money's worth. The bar tender was great (Sean) but limited food and the public passes take away from the experience

Second time back and extended our stay for an extra day. It’s very relaxing here. The mud bath experience also fun.

This resort is amazing!!! The staff is excellent! Everyone we spoke to was kind helpful and seemed very sincere. It’s obvious they enjoy working there. The leadership has selected the right type of people to represent them. We will be back for sure. Second visit this year and it only gets better, if that’s even possible.

Only problem is that when we checked out they wouldn’t give me a receipt. I wanted to see if we had any charges on my card.

The pools were nice.

Beautiful property but some of the pools had lots of dirt, skin flakes, and hair. Not sure if because it’s a hot spring the cleaning is different. Other than that the room was very nice and cozy.

There is nothing like a full day of relaxing in the hotsprings or panoramic sauna and ending the day in your room on site. Ask for a lakeside view and enjoy waking up to a relaxing view, not to mention hotel guests have 24 hr access to the hotsprings. The cafe food is similar to other spas. Be prepared to order food from nearby restaurants after 7pm. Its the perfect getaway for the family AND theres an adult ONLY area.

Hotel was nice but under construction and we weren’t made aware of this when booking.

When we checked in, the person said they didn't see any reservation under my name when I showed the Expedia reservation, she said she would have to book it from her end as it didn't show up, I stressed about making sure that I need to get the room I booked through Expedia as booked their luxury suit, and I ended up with an average room, after going to the room and climbing all the stairs ( No elevator in the property) our access cards won't let us in when I called room service we were told you need to go back to the reception area to fix it, so we again took our luggage and went to the front desk, after going to the room I wanted to get some ice and after going down, the ice machine is not working without a sign saying out of service, so I had to go back upstairs and call for ice.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the entire stay was nothing but stress rather than relaxation, we are back now and I see I was double charged for my room, one time through Expedia and once through the property. I called a few times and emailed and no one got back to me yet!!

THE ONLY THING I WOULD RECOMEND WOULD BE TO HAVE ELEVATORS FOR OUR LUGGAGE. STAIRS ARE TOUGH.... OTHER THAN THAT. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!

We loved being overnight guests at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort. Our lodging was the Hillside Suite and included a private geothermal tub and an outdoor hammock.
Our bungalow was spacious and comfortable and just 40 steps from the "6-pack" geothermal pools. Nice perk: overnight guests have access to 12 pools not accessible to day trippers.
We had great pool side service from Ahnee and Marly and were welcomed by customer service experts Riley and Kevin. At the Tortoise Shell cocktail bar, Veronica made me a special lemon drop drink that was exceptional, and I also had great service from Fritz at the Cafe Azuli.
I also loved the mud bath activity, sitting in all of the geothermal tubs, playing in the Oasis pool, and relaxing on the sandy beach.
The spa is still working out a few quirks. There isn't a sit down restaurant on site, but you can order delivery from Door Dash to the reception area. Poolside service seemed understaffed on Thursday afternoon, and the poolside cocktail bar opened 30 minutes late on Sunday. My wristband didn't work for ordering food and drinks most of the time, but they did let me charge my orders to my room. Some servers seemed frustrated about problems with the ordering system not working and the lack of food options for guests.
Even with these little glitches, I encourage you to give Murrieta Hot Springs a try. The property is beautiful, the pools are plentiful, and I felt like the staff was doing their best to be helpful and cheerful.

Is to overprice for the stay and amenities...maybe the day pass will work better we stayed overnight after party at temecula but really could been nice if they offered an extended stay with no charge it says 24 hrs of soaking ..checkin at 4 pm and checkout at 11 is not close to 24 hrs...not worth the price to what you get

This place has a lot work on.
Limited food options, no room service, not enough staff to accommodate simple requests.
Ice machines are new and not fully installed.
Have to call to request ice. Staff seem overwhelmed and rushed.

Hidden in plain sight, this incredible property has so much potential. We especially liked that over night guests have 24 hr access to the pools. Once they have the food situatuated it'll be perfect. The wristbands for access and payment we're a welcome surprise and made getting around and paying easy and convenient.
The towels for the pools being distributed in the day use checkin was not great, but they're open to improvement and feedback from what I could tell.

Loved the property, except for the lack of dining options. Surprised that a property of this quality doesn’t offer more dining options. Disappointing.

Beautiful property, spacious so it never felt crowded. Staff is warm and welcoming, and Kevin was especially helpful showing us to our room and taking us on a tour of the grounds. We checked in around 2pm on a Friday, no line, took maybe 10 minutes to go over everything included in your stay. And as far as whatever construction might have been going on that people were complaining about… didn’t see or hear a single thing. The only minor thing is the walls are thin. Very thin. But we’re not there to spend time in the room (although it’s beautiful and spacious). But couples be warned ;)

At the check in desk, a staff member assigned us a room in Harmony which is at one end of the resort, far from everywhere. After arriving at Harmony, I noted that my
original booking with hotels, com was for a room in Monterey which is close to every places such as the breakfast place, hot springs, etc. When I called the front desk around 8 pm, the lady staff member acknowledged my original reservation, but told me that no room is available in Monterey. When I raised the issue, she said she has no authority to fix the problem and asked me to talk to the manager next morning. The manager next morning lied to me that hotels.com system and their system are not integrated, so they did not know my original reservation. He made no apologies at all for their mishandling my reservation. His explanation of "upgrading to Harmony" does not make sense that they did not know my original reservation. His explanation also contradicted with the lady staff member's acknowledgement of my original reservation. My wife caught a cold as she walked a longer distance after soaking in hot springs to Harmony. It would be a much shorter distance to Monterey. Very disappointed for not honoring my original reservation and telling me a lie, they did not know my original booking at Monterey and never making a apology for the situation.
