The hotel is in need of some modernising ie carpets redecorating but it is comfortable and the staff were great. Parking is limited but there is plenty of space on the promenade directly opposite which is free.

Not a bad place. Like lot of seaside hotels it could do with a bit of a refurb

Great sea views. The room was very basic but good enough. The breakfast wasn't very good though, again very basic. Choice of 2 cereal, with no fruit except for a couple of apples. No fried eggs available, just powdered scrambled egg.
I think 3* is fair enough

Very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Reasonably good breakfast but limited choice. Evening menu was good, varied and served well. Bar facilities available until 11pm but limited choice. Room facilities adequate but shower pressure on 3rd floor was low. No USB but free wi-fi. TV was through Freeview but NetFlix and other providers available. Overall satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again..

Sorry, but didn't like the bed.

Hotel was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good offering cold and hot options. Good value for money! Only negative was the room window which we could not close or lock. I reported this at check-out so it could be repaired and made secure. Ample parking and would stay again.

No off road parking no food on arrival restaurant not open that night bed and room not comfortable left in the morning didn’t seem to have any staff around didn’t go back for second night although it was payed for.

Hotel has seen better days. The room was clean but the bathroom needs updating which made it feel and look a little neglected, dirty seals around the shower etc.
The lift is very old. Breakfast needs some soul.
Ok hotel but shame it hasn’t been updated.

Amazing sea view and great breakfast

Wouldn’t stop for more than a night..

Old style lift and was a bit compact for 3 people even though it said maximum of 5. The room sizeable and nicely allocated for us. Staff on hand nice and attentive. No evening restaurant but provided plates and cutlery for when we had takeaway.
3.0
Hotel was easy to find and a reasonable price.
There was free parking along the road.
Check in was fine and shown how to use the old lift.
Our room was difficult to find though as numbers weren’t together and ours was away at the back with another room and not signed. Room was nice enough but view was of a nearly derelict hotel next door which pigeons appear to have taken over.
Breakfast was nice enough, all buffet service but the only eggs they supply are scrambled which seems odd.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful and location is nice.
8.0
Choose a room with a sea view which you’ll never get bored of to compensate for the tired shoddiness of the interior in general.
Easier and better to park on the main road at the front as the hotel's own carpark at the back of the property looks derelict and unmonitored. Luckily I got a great deal via Expedia as I wouldn’t have paid more than £45 for the very ordinary facility I had.

TV’s are very small like desk top computer. General all are good.

Reception staff really friendly , room clean , good location breakfast very basic and breakfast staff could do to learn about customer service more , very abrupt attitude

For the price this was more than good enough. It's quite tired looking in places and in need of some upgrading, but overall was worth the money. Beds were very comfy.
We were allocated room 104 to start with, but the kitchen extractor fan was right outside our window and woke us at 7am with a very loud noise. As we were there for 4 nights we asked if it was possible to change rooms, and this was accommodated fairly quickly, to their credit. The new room was smaller, but much quieter. Overall, a nice enough hotel for the price, in a good location.

We were very happy with our stay.

Out season good value Hotel see better times staff very nice and helpful
6.0
Room was nice overlooking the seafront, and a reasonable size.
When we arrived there was no one on reception, we had to wait a while for someone to appear.
There were big signs saying to only touch the fire alarm in an emergency, and the alarm went off in the middle of the night, they clearly have an issue with the alarm.
When we went to breakfast there were 2 girls sat on the table, and we were told “to sit where we want, let them know if we wanted a drink, and the food is through there”. None of the food was hot, and the “scrambled egg” was clearly out of a packet - it was mostly water.
When we left again there was no one on reception.
Overall disappointing!

I booked for 2 nights and stayed for 5 ! Staff are fantastic and very helpful and welcoming. There is a major refurbishment of the building going on but that won’t affect your stay no noise etc. Room was a newly refurbished one and only one slight niggle, it needs a bedside table!

Fantastic friendly service. Free parking right outside the hotel even on the weekend. Great location. Great breakfast

Friendly stay, nice breakfast, easy on road parking. Our room was quite dark with a small window to the rear of the building but as we weren’t in there much it wasn’t a problem.

The people in the above floor were very noisy & the main road is very busy. Staff were friendly , breakfast good & location good!

Good comfortable stay, good breakfast. Sadly no room to eat without a prior booking but had a good walk into town. My fault for not booking. Great view over the bay and friendly staff, nice secure parking for my motorbike

Unassuming hotel but very friendly and helpful staff.
When we arrived for a one- nightwe were told that the restaurant was closed (private party) that night. We asked if we could order in a takeaway and they agreed, provided crockery, cutlery, napkins and table service to the verandah bar.
Cheerful, helpful staff and very friendly fellow guests. We had a very good evening and overnight stay.

My sister and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Strathmore. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to ensure that the stay met all our requirements. The evening meal was lovely and there was plenty of choice. After dinner there was entertainment which was relaxing and fun - aimed at just the right sought of audience to finish off a lovely evening.
Likewise the breakfast was plentiful and with lots of options. The bar area was spacious to enjoy a post evening drink
The room was spacious and had a lovely view of Morecombe Bay. I would thoroughly recommend room 117! The beds had quality duvets on them and the walls were freshly painted.
A couple of quick niggles would be - the restaurant menu could have provided an option for the smaller appetite so as not to waste food and the shower tray in the bathroom cuould have been a little deeper.
A relaxing couple of days

Good position on sea front, nice views from room and the bar.
Comfortable clean room, lovely breakfast.
All staff very helpful and pleasant.
Pleasantly surprised to find there was live entertainment on the night of our stay.
Overall good value, would stay again.
