The new door locks are a great upgrade, easy to use and remember. Our room was very clean and freshly painted. We had no problems, but the front desk was easy to reach at all times.

Everything was great, staff was very nice and helpful. The only bad thing was the parking. Where my room was, it was grass and dirt. It rained days prior so it was muddy. Overall besides that it was great

Room was super comfy. I had to be switched from a king to a double queen due to availability of a pet friendly king room. No big deal. Door to outside had some light showing through the sides and the latch was a bit loose. For a weekend away and the price I’d stay here again. Check in host was super friendly and communicated really well! I love that the beach is just a ten minute walk away, but I can also drive on if I want. Entrance to beach was well maintained and easy to drive through.

We had such a good time and stay here. It is so close to the beach and then having restaurants right across the road was so convenient. The only thing I had a problem with was getting more towels and turning in our key cause no one was at the front office. But the room was very nice. We will most definitely come back and stay!

The owner was the most helpful guy I have ever encountered at any hotel. He was very fast to solve any issues we had! I would rate this place 10 stars for service. You can tell the mattresses were recently purchased so firm but nice! We drove to the beach, it’s more of a 5-10 minute walk but not bad!! Will be coming back!

This property was definitely a disappointment. The pictures are misleading - our room did not look like the images on the listing. The room was dirty, there were stains in the sheets & comforter, and there was quite a bit of dirt/dust. The AC struggled to work and we were thankful that we brought our own fan. I realize this is more of a budget friendly option, but we paid over $200 for one night. We even thought about trying to find somewhere else to stay instead. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I would not stay here again. I would have spent a bit more to stay somewhere else if I had known the condition of this spot.

Noise from remodeling on site was unacceptable. The Manager kept apologizing and was very nice but he chose not to stop the remodeling guy from hammering, drilling and making other loud noises right next to my room (perhaps under it but sounded right next door) as late as 11 pm at night. I asked 3 times for the construction to stop starting around 9:30 PM and ultimately I was moved to another room in the back away from the noise. This room was hot as the window unit had not been turned on in time and it was extremely inconvenient to pack up all my clothes and gear as well as all my refrigerated groceries and trek to another room when I was ready to go to bed. Window unit was extremely loud too. Furthermore I got numerous mosquito bites along the way.

I actually checked in the didnt stay. I felt very unsafe being a was a female by myself.. they had done renovations but the smell was horrible. also, the area under the motel was very trashy.

Saltwater Inn was quite a surprise. Reading the reviews, I was a little skeptical. I was even a little wary when I first arrived, due to its rugged appearance. However, don't judge a book by its cover. The office staff was extremely welcoming, and the room was pristine and comfortable. Although the decor is minimalistic, I had all the essentials I needed and then some. Thank you, Mike et al.! I highly recommend Saltwater Inn without reservation.

The current owner is making improvements to an already quite nice classic coastal motel.

The owner went above and beyond. Our luggage was lost at the airport and he stayed up late to check us in. The next day we needed to uber but there isn't any on the Peninsula. The owner found us one and we were able to Ferry over to Galveston in time to make our cruise. everyone we came in contact with was nice, helpful, and really went the extra mile to help out guests.

I loved my stay at the saltwater inn!! The owner greeted us upon arrival in the office and he was so nice and chill. The beach is beautiful and was worth the trip.

The property owner and staff were very friendly. The room was clean, the only complaint would be not very sound proof rooms. Overall was a descent place to stay,

New owners took over in January. He was friendly at check in and check out.
I stayed in the new section, room 25 was excellent.
Ice cold AC, comfortable beds, TV, remote, coffee pot, mini fridge.
They had complementary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, facial wipes.
The rooms have been recently updated.
We were in town for a Jeep Spring Fling Fundraiser, we raised money for St Jude.
We will definitely be back again.
Thank you!
