Very clean and modern home, surrounded by woods. 15-30 minute drive from amazing hikes, lakes and cultural events. Hosts were very responsive and left nice little touches like snacks and bug spray! Would definitely stay there again.

We came for an event at the Bird & Bottle (just voted best restaurant by Hudson Valley Magazine!) and were so happy to find The Cottage. Located close by down beautiful preserved historic dirt roads surrounded by blooming flowers and past a lake, I felt like I was in the english country side. The Cottage was private, airy, cozy, sparkling clean, and so stylish. Our host Ashley was very helpful in our planning and local recommendations for a hike and dinner out. Check in and out was seamless and we were so grateful for the coffee and snacks that we enjoyed on the screened in porch over looking the Hudson Valley over to West Point and Fahenstock state park! We even cooked dinner one night with the beautiful caraway pots and pans and everything you would need in the newly renovated kitchen. Thank you for entertaining us with some books and board games as well. We will be back and highly recommend a stay here!

This charming guest house was tucked away on a charming wooded lot, flanked by the main house that was not occupied at the time of our stay. The view from the second story window was breakthtaking. We choose to sleep on the first floor sofa bed as the cantilever stairway was a concern for middle of the night bathroom needs. The property was beyond clean and the furnishings were comfortable, updated and "just enough" for the size of the cabin. The central air was well a welcomed gift as we were in the middle of a heat wave. We stayed two nights and were quite happy with the home and responsivenss of the owner. This location also provided a pet friendly policy which is difficult to find on the vacation platforms. Our little furry guy enjoyed his stay and was quite comfortable as well. The location allowed plenty of property for healthy walks and exploration. This home is centrally located for a visit to Cold Springs, Peeksill, with endless opportunities for hiking. We could not have asked for a better experience. Hoping to return some day.

When we arrived the front door code wouldn't work and the deadbolt was stuck, so after a few texts and phone calls, we finally got in the house—it was fine, but also 100 degrees outside—Ashley was more than helpful! Central A/C was welcome after exploring in the heat, and everything was confortable and nicely appointed.

What an amazing place this was. We wanted a cozy place in the Hudson Valley for a weekend getaway. This exceeded our expectations. From the personal touches (a handwritten note and fresh flowers!) to the cozy fireplace. Everything was perfect. Very clean. Bed was comfy. No complaints would stay here again in a heartbeat! :)

This is a great cozy retreat. Clean. Everything you need, including firewood for the wood stove.Convenient to NY State Parks and not far from the Empire Trail and Hudson Valley Greenway so perfect for us to check off some of our NY State Parks Centennial Challenge tasks and get some hiking and biking in. It was perfect for the 2 of us. Ashley responded promptly to all of our communications and was a great host. Nice little touches like a basket of snacks added to the charm of this cozy cottage.
