Little bit sketchy. Lots of people were outside all night. The room wasn’t bad. Bathroom looked newly renovated. Bed was comfy.

Run down. Dirty. Conveniently located close to the train station.

I'd give it a zero but its not an option. The rate I paid for a 1 king bed and a double was a rip off. My king room had a big burn hole in the carpet. A big hole in the door guard on the wall. The headboard was stained and ragged. The baseboard had dead bug remains. The lamp was shabbly put together. The toilet lifted everytime you got up. The power went off the morning of my brother's memorial service until some time that evening. The pool was closed due to the poor ph balance with cloudy water so my granddaughters couldnt swim. The breakfast buffet had a few slices of bread and bagels and 4 dried up apples. The power to use the toasters was off. Major disappointment for a property to be in the heart of downtown Dover. The only thing I can say nice was the staff was polite when greeting you. Also watch out for the little boy riding his bike all over the parking lot! I think he's the housekeeper's kid.

It’s definitely a place to sleep the downtown area is nice but this place is a little sleezy

The room was filthy. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Black dirty hand prints on the door, looked like animal scratches on the headboard. Wouldn’t walk barefoot.

Travelled to the area for a wedding. There was no early check in. When we got there and got to our room it smelled horrible. It wasn’t clean and we felt unsafe traveling with a child. Carpet was ripped and everything was dated. We immediately let the front desk know we wanted a refund and they would not give us one. Very disappointed and frustrated.

Room was okay, bathroom was somewhat dirty, fridge wasn't working properly. I requested another one but it was never brought to our room.

The property was not as advertised. I was not aware that the property was set up like a Motel instead of a Hotel. It appeared as thought the property was also used as an extended stay facility. Didn't feel 100% safe going and coming from my room, since i was there alone. Was awoken by shoveling of stones and loud music. Amenities were not explained to me when I checked in. I did not know where to go for the complimentary breakfast, so I did not take advantage of it.

Bed was comfy, fridge didn’t work, iced over, hadnt been cleaned in months. Low rate hotel, convenient location.

The breakfast area looked like they could have came in and cleaned and there was flies in the breakfast area. Which made me not want to have the bagels or toast. I opted in oatmeal. The hallways could have been vacuumed also.

Felt very unsafe with the other clientele staying there. Very loud at night and ants all over the bathroom

Stayed at the Downtown Dover Inn on a spontaneous overnight in Dover NH with my daughter and grand daughters. Very clean and the front desk staff person was very helpful and lovely. Free breakfast and the pool was a great bonus. I’m going back in October and will be staying here again! A good choice at a fair price!

All I can say is that they are so helpful and the rooms are clean

I had booked a KING room and once we arrived and checked in, we discovered the bed was only a DOUBLE! I brought this to their attention at the front desk, with my receipt confirming a king room. He immediately refused to make any accommodations because I had booked through Expedia. So he insisted I contact them, after a 45 minute back and fourth with them and the hotel he refused to refund or move us to a king room, stating “they were completely booked.” He was very rude through the entire interaction. Once Expedia's supervisor contacted him he suddenly had a room open up and we were moved. The room was clean, but the hotel wasn’t in a good part or town, be aware!

We got a last minute reservation and were happily surprised at how nice the place was.

The room was nice and clean and I enjoyed it. The staff was nice but the continental breakfast was a real joke. There was almost nothing but some coffee, OJ, and stale cereal. I recommend you just go grab food elsewhere.

Room reeked of smoke. Bug in room. Office very smelly. Will never stay again.

Nice view of church. Grounds were clean. Although lots of loitering and suspicious activity and people.Door to room only had one lock and door did not latch or close properly. Made my wife so uncomfortable we canceled our stay there and went home several days earlier.

1) When I was checking in, the clerk asked for a credit card and was talking on his cell phone the entire time. When I gave him my credit card, he argued with me and said it was not a credit card. He acted very arrogant and unprofessional.
2) The hotel advertised an indoor heated pool. It was not heated and when I did ask for towels the same clerk said he would get me some, and instead he plopped on a couch by the pool and commenced to talk on his cell phone.
3) Housekeeping did not come clean our room for our entire three-day stay. The clerk said if I gave him my used towels, he would bring me clean linen.I gave him the dirty and never received clean linen.
4) The door to our room would not completely close. To get it to latch, we had to lift on the door when we closed it.
5) When I told the clerk at check out about all the issues and asked for a partial refund, he replied "No refund for any reason."

The air conditioner never worked correctly. It was warm and humid in my room despite several attempts by staff to fix it. Finally on the last night when I was given a new remote for it. That night the room was cooler but returned to warm blowing air in the morning. The breakfast offerings are subpar. The second morning there was no coffee in the urns, no cups(warm or cold) on the counters. There were crumbs, wrappers, etc left all over counters and tables. The hotel does not have enough help. The same young man was there from check in to check out 3 days later. I feel the Downtown Dover Inn is very poorly managed.

The back boards were pretty gross and the comforters had spots of dry blood on them lucky I always carry blankets!!

The pool is not heated and had an abundance amount of Chlorine, the tv did not work, our room smelled like a lot of smoking was happening and when we asked to switch rooms, we were told there was nothing they can do. The pictures online must be from ages ago, that is not how the place looks currently. Not a pleasant stay.

I liked that it was centrally located in Dover - which is a nice city.. The accommodations were good and the service was as well.

This property had some good points. The pool looked clean and nice so if you had kids or loved swimming that’s a perk. We stayed in 2 rooms, beginning and end of trip. Both had been updated and seemed clean. You could walk and find groceries, restaurants, stores and even a cool museum complex just 15 min walk away.
Now the bad points. The rugs in the rooms were filthy. The ice machine was not working and the breakfast provided was bagged muffins, bread, fruit, and instant oatmeal. Coffee wasn’t always ready at opening either. No microwave in the rooms.
For a one or two night stay when flying into Pease Airport, it’s fine, only a 15-20 minutes ride and the cheapest option around. I wouldn’t want anything longer though.

This was one of the worst places we’ve stayed at all summer (we’ve traveled a lot!). The write up promised a continental breakfast, heated pool, and decent looking rooms. We discovered a DIRTY floor (my daughters feet were BLACK) so I asked the front desk worker if someone could run a vacuum real quick, no big deal, he opened the door and pointed at a vacuum and said “here” signaling that I needed to vacuum the floor myself. There were bugs on the floor, flies all over the place, and homeless people all over the place. The continental breakfast was not much of a breakfast, the bananas had flies on them, there was no coffee, and the room was dirty
