About this apartment rental
This luxury three-bedroom holiday home is wonderful for indoor/outdoor living with the sociable kitchen/dining room and ground floor bedroom opening into the large walled and landscaped gardens. There's a double bedroom (zip-and-link) on the ground floor with an ensuite bathroom, a stylish four-poster double on the first floor with an ensuite shower room, and the third bedroom also has a zip-and-link bed and a family bathroom.
You know you're somewhere special as you step into the entrance hall with ample space to leave coats, footwear, buggies etc. before heading through an inner hall to the heart of the house. Oak wooden floors run throughout the house. Whilst the ground floor bedroom and ensuite are handy for guests with a mobility problem, please note that there is a step to the sitting room.
KITCHEN
Daylight floods this room through the skylight, doors and windows to the garden. Kitchen units wrap around in a U shape housing a waist-height electric oven and microwave above it, a four-ring gas hob with extractor, a large (5 shelves) fridge and freezer (3 drawers), a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, and a compact 200xl Magimix. If you enjoy dining at home there’s a kitchen table with six chairs next to doors opening into the courtyard and shelving runs along the wall with a great library for you to choose from.
SITTING ROOM
There’s a step up from the hallway to the door into this comfortable room with cream leather sofas, and coffee tables positioned for relaxing with one of the books from the well-stacked shelves in front of the modern gas fire or watching the TV with Freesat and DVD player.
UTILITY ROOM
A pocket door discretely hides this convenient room where there’s a washing machine, dryer, double sink, a large upright freezer, and other housekeeping tools.
CLOAKROOM
Accessed from the living room and main hall, a corridor takes you to the cloakroom simply with a WC and wash basin.
GROUND FLOOR BEDROOM WITH ENSUITE BATHROOM
Enjoy morning coffee in the fresh air on the private deck overlooking the garden accessed through a wall of sliding doors from this peaceful bedroom. The zip-and-link super king-size bed can be made into a double or twin (it will be double unless requested when booked) and there are bedside units, a comfy leather chair and bags of storage in built-in wardrobes.
ENSUITE
This chic ensuite has both rain and hand-held showers over the bath, a basin set into a vanity unit, a WC, and a heated towel rail (towels are provided for all guests).
FIRST FLOOR
Steep wooden stairs rise and turn to the first floor; there are a couple of sturdy grab rails to steady you and two steep steps into the front bedroom. The corridor continues to the back bedroom and bathroom with oak wooden floor throughout and tiles in the bathrooms.
FRONT BEDROOM WITH ENSUITE SHOWER ROOM
An elegant four-poster bed takes pride of place in this gorgeous bedroom where the sash window overlooks the renowned Woodbridge School.
Wardrobes, shelves, and circular tables give you plenty of space to unpack and settle in, with a canary-coloured armchair for relaxation.
ENSUITE
This smart ensuite has a large shower cubicle with rain and hand-held shower heads, a WC, a wash basin with storage below and a heated towel rail.
BACK BEDROOM
An equally beautiful bedroom with a view of the garden at the side of the house. The super king-size zip-and-link beds can be made as twin or double (double unless requested on booking), and there’s a wardrobe, bedside drawers and a chest of drawers for your clothes.
BATHROOM
A sunny room where the L-shaped bath has two shower heads over it, there’s a WC, a basin with storage beneath, and a heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE
This elegant, detached house sits opposite the Woodbridge School (founded 1577) with the heart of town just a short walk away.
The gate from the street opens into a courtyard with the front door ahead and a gate to the large and stunning landscaped gardens.
The walled side garden has a gas BBQ, outdoor dining table and chairs so you can make the most of summer days. Brick steps take you down to the back garden with gravel paths running between exotic plants, meandering down past the vegetable garden (not currently put to use), a fruit orchard and finally to a fun seating area around a massive fire pit for fun evenings toasting marshmallows!
There's a locked side gate to the walled garden, giving easy access for bikes to be stored securely, and a web of fantastic cycle routes in the surrounding countryside and villages.
Please note that the garden, whilst a wonderful place to run around and play hide and seek, isn’t fully enclosed so little guests will need to be supervised.
In bedrooms 1 and 3, the king-size beds can be separated to form 2 single beds upon request. They will both be made as super king unless requested as twin beds.
