This charming and comfortable home boasts incredible views of the ocean. The tides and light chage constantly and there's never a dull momenr. The house is perfectly situated for sunrises and Klondike Mountain (just 1 1/2 miles down the road) is perfect for sunsets. We got lucky and had the most incredible moonrises over the water that I've ever expeienced. Highly reccomened. We stocked up on groceries in Machias and were glad we did as Lubec has limited dining options. Lubec is absolute paradise for hiking and boating and this house was an ideal base for my family.

My husband and I loved the home but we totally missed the fact that televisions were not listed as something available in renting this home! The remainder of Hurricane Debby came through on our first day of staying at this home in Lubec Maine and it rained so hard that rain came in the closed window of the home! There was absolutely nothing for us to do while we waited for this storm to pass through! We couldn't watch movies or for that matter just watch television. We were glad we brought our plug in charger adapters for our cell phones because if you stay at this home you will need those. This historic home is beautiful and the view is amazing but my husband and I just weren't expecting to spend our vacation actually living in the past.

This home is as described but better than the photos because:
The view must be seen to be believed. No photo could capture the peaceful, quiet vibe. The living area is spacious and where we spent most of our time because of the spectacular view. And the home is absolutely beautiful, spotless and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to prepare a meal. Beds are comfy; crisp linens and a choice of pillows make for restful sleep. Bathrooms are stocked with fresh white towels.
Would definitely return to this magical spot. Many thanks, Libby.

Rented this property for a family get together. The property has been nicely renovated and maintains the character of a classic New England home. It worked well for our party of 5 adults and one dinner guest. The view of the bay and town of Lubec is quite nice. We missed the fact that there is no dishwasher in the listing but it was our oversight. We visited Campobello Island and did Happy Hour with Franklin which was very informative. All in all a great stay and good communication with the host. Definitely recommend for a relaxing vacation.

We absolutely loved staying at this house. We stayed for 4 days and we all had a great time!..Absolutely loved that there was no TV in the house because it brought us back to playing games and enjoying the outdoors as a family again! Definitely loved our time here and would do it again
