About this villa rental
Located in a stunning nature reserve less than 20 minutes from Stockholm’s city center, this is a Nordic midsummer night’s dream come true. Located on a hillside surrounded by trees, nearly 5M2 (1 acre) of privacy and a 5-minute walk to the lake.
Highlights: space and privacy for both adults and kids; outdoor hot tub and two indoor fireplaces; 5 minutes to local stores; private parking; ping pong; exercise equipment; fire pit; garden; BBQ. Luxury living in the forest!
OUTDOORS
The outdoor space starts with a huge terrace with plenty of lounge areas, dining, grilling and a wood-fired hot tub. The ping pong table doubles as a dining table. A spin bike and exercise equipment (weights and yoga mat) are available to use. The deck is suitable for both winter and summer with the various spaces and fireplaces.
The back gardens include a fire pit campfire style. There is an apple tree growing by the house. In the surrounding forest, blueberries and mushrooms are everywhere. Beyond the fence (which keeps out wandering deer), there’s a small seating area under the trees.
INDOORS
The interior of the home is in two main modules—the main house and a semi-attached cottage house. The main house includes a bedroom with a full bed and a sofa bed. You’re welcome to enjoy the book and games library—including both board games and a PS4. Across the hall is one of the bathrooms—with this one including a large bathtub and hand held shower connected to the main water tank. The living and dining area is beautifully flooded with light all year round.
The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, water boilers and various cooking utensils. The living area invites for lounging with friends or family with a large fireplace.
Just across the deck, is a large bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom provides laundry facilities and a walk in shower—note this shower is connected to a separate small water tank with hot water limited to around 15 minutes at full heat. You have plenty of privacy to relax or lounge in this private building with a large king bed, Nespresso machine and eco-friendly fireplace (bioethanol). Wi-if is available throughout the house. x1 extra sofa bed available on request.
ACCESS
Guests have access to the entire home. As this is a permanent home, closet space is limited to guest specific shelves and clothing racks. There is a locked storage unit near the parking lot which is not part of the living space. The kitchen has basic amenities such as tea, coffee and some spices which guests are welcome to use—but kindly requested to replace if finished. We also have a small garden with potatoes, tomatoes, berries, herbs, rhubarb and more. Depending on the season, we will give you a list of items guests are free to harvest in small amounts. If you have a green thumb and want to weed or water, let us know!
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
One basket of firewood is included with your stay, as well as one bottle of bioethanol for the eco bedroom fireplace. If you’d like to purchase wood specifically for use of the wood fired hot-tub, let us know. Sheets and towels are included, as well as cleaning supplies for dishes, laundry and general. We also have bicycles available to rent on request.
