Other things to note
This gorgeous Edwardian terrace was built in 1904, the year Manchester City won their first major trophy, the FA Cup. Over a century later this wonderful property will see history take place again with the upcoming upgrade of Manchester United’s grounds, which are just a 10-minute walk, and you can see the iconic structure from the end of the road!
The area itself has a rich history dating back to the beginnings of Manchester’s rise to become an industrial giant of world-wide renown. Originally constructed to accommodate the workers in the Trafford Park industry and railway zone close-by, this home has large rooms, high ceilings, coving and a stunning bay window.
If you are a Manchester City fan, Old Trafford tram station is only a 10 minute walk and from there you can travel direct to the Etihad Stadium. Football not your thing? Fancy a bit of cricket? The same 10 minute stroll through the park takes you to Old Trafford’s world-famous Lancashire County Cricket Ground, which will also host the Foo Fighters and Green Day this year.
With Media City just a short walk, bus or tram ride away, and the city centre a few minutes by bus, tram or taxi, this property has just about everything Manchester has to offer on it’s doorstep.
There is a quirky bar on the main road around the corner and a few metres further down towards Stretford library stands the historic Gorse Hill pub, if you fancy a experiencing a proper Manchester boozer with darts and pool.
Local trams take you to Altrincham, the city, all major railway links and if you fancy a 20 minute walk to Chorlton’s Beech Road you can enjoy it’s café culture and meadows which also lead on to Sale Water park which offers a number of activities including kayaking.
Street parking is in front of the house, but you MUST have a parking permit for football match days otherwise you will get a fine. A sign at the end of the road will specify when parking restrictions next apply. If you have a car on a match day you can leave your car, at no cost, on the host’s driveway, which is around the corner from Old Trafford Cricket Ground and a 10-minute walk to Manchester United Ground. Alternatively, you can pay for parking on one of the many parking sites nearby - look for people on the street with a sign for Match Parking. There is a school 1 minute from the property which offers secure match day parking.
Alternatively, transport connections are excellent, so leave the car behind and enjoy the brilliant local connections by bus, tram or rental bike, there is a Starling Bank bike rental station just 2 minutes from the property.

If this rule has been breached (e.g. smoke smell, ashes, cigarette ends etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a GBP 300 deep clean fee as a minimum.
Candles and other naked flames are prohibited.
As an alternative to kennelling, one well-behaved dog is welcome, however you must not leave dogs home alone unless they are able to be caged. The host can provide a large cage on request. If choosing this option please contact the host to discuss any period your pet will be alone, as a check in and short walk can be arranged whilst you are out, for an additional charge. Animals must not be allowed on any furnishings, beds etc. An additional cleaning charge applies for stays with pets.
This is a residential area and we have adjoining neighbours, therefore parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests are not permitted. Manchester is awash with places to be rowdy so get it out of your system before heading back. Ask the host who will happily advise you on where to let your hair down, heck, I might even join you!
Now the serious bit- please, be nice, behave. If you don’t we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without a refund) and remove you from the property. Any associated security cost will be charged to you.
