About this cottage rental
Green Plains is a delightful, detached, traditional cottage, renovated throughout to a high standard; it is tucked away on a quiet lane above the beautiful sandy beach at Wiseman’s Bridge. It offers the most stunning panoramic views down the valley over Carmarthen Bay and out to sea. Green Plains dates back to 1785 and it has been in the family for up to six decades, during that time it used to be the only farm down the lane with no other properties around for miles. Comfortably furnished with exposed stone walls, beams, tiled and practical laminate floors, a fitted kitchen leads through to the dining room and cosy lounge with wood burning stove for those chillier evenings. Nearly every room offers wonderful views over the fields to the shimmering sea beyond. Two staircases give access to the spacious bedrooms nestling in the eaves above. The glazed porch to the front is perfect to just sit and admire the view, it opens to the enclosed lawned garden which is an ideal spot to sit or enjoy an alfresco meal on the decked area overlooking the valley on a summer’s evening while you marvel at the beautiful aspect and listen to the sound of bird song, together with garden suite and dining table, fire pit and barbecue.A public footpath nearby leads via Pleasant Valley down to the beach at Wiseman’s Bridge 1 mile or 20 minute walk, refresh yourself in the Wiseman’s Bridge Inn, situated right on the beach and popular for food. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and explore this stunning coastline, Amroth with its long stretch of sand and beach side restaurants, shops and pubs is well worth a visit, while to the west lies the popular seaside villages of Saundersfoot with its picturesque harbour and array of pubs, restaurants and shops and the bustling walled town of Tenby with a choice of 4 more beaches.A wonderful holiday home to get away from it all, whatever the season.
