A room in November with no central heating? A bed which was so uncomfortable I would’ve been more comfortable on a bench along the seafront.
Reckon less that 10 guests were here.
Rooms without occupants were left with doors wide open. Over £10 to park on street - no visitor passes or subsidised arrangements

Overall good.

The curtains would not open. Only one of the sash windows opened and only ajar. The heating could not be switched off making the room too hot. There was a punch hole in the bathroom door. There was a leak in the shower. The communal carpets were dirty. Parking is available but for a fee which was not made clear. There were occupants arguing outside.
This review would not enable me to upload photos I took.

This is at best a boarding house
—- Certainly NOT a Hotel
Unsafe ( loose stairwell railing )
Unused medicine left in room - Bathroom not serviced… unclean.
Unhygienic ( Toilet that flushes but does not effect its job )
Beading that is stained & has holes .. as does the carpet ( if you can call what is on the floor carpet )
Window in the room that would not close, so cold & noisy …
Broken & boarded up windows in stairs
List too long
Night porter 10/10
Location great
Badly in need of a full renovation

Made a booking for 2 nights, Had to leave after 1 night, Due to the property not having a heating in the room, its was extremely cold, Asked reception if they there was a way to heat up the room, Was told no, It doesn’t work… Very disappointing due to how much I paid for the stay

Worked for us as we were building stages for a festival nearby, easy booking and good rooms..

The room was UNCLEAN and smelled of cigarette smoke. Thankfully the bedding and towels were clean. The dirtiest part of the room was the ensuite bathroom that had black mold on the tiling and grouting. The curtains were also too short for the windows.

We had a warm welcome on check in, in the room we found two dirty towels, a dirty glass, a dirty bath which hadn’t been cleaned properly and two dirty cup, more attention to cleanliness inspection before allowing your guests into the room, which can give your establishment a bad name and bad reviews.

Staff were very helpful in securing me parking, opening up the room a little ahead of normal check-in. Night staff on duty all night, which was reassuring arriving back after a full day at conference. Shops a short walk away with frequent buses into central Brighton. Room was well fitted out, very quiet. The new owners know that the whole hotel needs a bit of tlc. I wish them luck in building it up. No breakfast facilities, but a little restaurant a few doors down which was busy!

The staff at Langford hotel was very friendly and accommodating. What was supposed to be a one night stay turned into 6 days and even though I would have to update the hotel 2 hours 7before checkout, they still offered me the best rates and to keep the room I was currently in.
The Hotel rooms does need a bit of updating, but the rooms are big in comparison to most hotels and definitely a good value for money.

Overall a decent place to stay with friendly staff. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was large and had plenty of storage space, and also had a 2 seater couch. Although it only had a small TV placed far from the bed. There wasn't any accessible plugs near the bed either. The room was fairly clean and the walls and ceiling seem to have been painted fairly recently. Unfortunately the overall condition of the property is in need of attention. E.g. in our room curtains were coming away from rails, wardrobe doors wouldn't shut, there was no headboard on bed, the couch had paint stains on, TV remote battery cover missing, room door lock was loose, only 1 hanger provided in the wardrobe.
In the hotel corridors, the carpets were stained and a broken window halfway down the stairs.

The room was not the same as in the pictures shown in the website. They are really old, dusty and cold. We also found some insects in the ceiling and the sheets of the bed were so light.
We asked for a new room and he told us that they were full and that they couldn’t give us another room but finally they did. It was a little better but the cold was the same as the heating didn’t work. Awful experience.

A good budget hotel a quick walk from the restaurants, cafes and shops on Church Road at a good price for Brighton and Hove. The staff were welcoming and helpful and although the building is a little tired it was clean, spacious and overall was exactly what we needed.

Hotel in real need of upgrade. actual rooms nothing like pictures on website, duvet very thin did not cover whole of bed. paint peeling, curtain coming of track, carpet not hoovered,

What can I say! You get what you pay for and this wasn’t expensive so that says it all really. I don’t need to mention the filthy carpet, the broken mirror that really should be removed, the musky smell, the missing draw the broken toilet roll holder, I could just on and on but I won’t! We only needed somewhere to get our heads down! Would I come back? Absolutely not! I’d rather sleep in my car!!!!

Old building was closed as a Hotel, I can see by the lounges it used to be a classy place, but became run down over many years, can understand why it closed. Now opened by Indian people, the building needs refurbishing ,there was water dripping from part of ceiling in bathroom. However, otherwise fine, and comfortable and very adequate for the excellent price in today's Hôtel market. I shall return next trip. Best deal in Brighton and Hove.

Excellent location. Close to buses, shops and restaurants and the beach.
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
Bed was clean and comfortable.
Hotel is desperately in need of redecorating and updating. En suite shower room was useable but depressing.

Staff were amazing, shower screen not deep enough seem to have to tuck myself into the corner to avoid the water splashing over the edge of the bath, very warm in room too and unable to open windows, apart from that everything was OK

Awful. Poorly maintained. First room the toilet didnt stop dripping, i had to sleep in earplugs. Bathroom light didnt work. Mud (?) smeared across the bathroom wall.
We got moved to a different room for the second night. When we got to the room, a seagull had got in and so the room was covered in faeces.

Room was dirty and damaged. On my second day at the hotel, I requested the room be cleaned and was told on returning that evening that my room could not be cleaned because the master key did not work. I paid £300 for 3 nights in a single room.

Sad to say that for $250 American dollars a night you would expect to get a clean comfortable room! Not only was the bed , linen and pillows horribly uncomfortable the linen were covered in stains and hair shavings. The bathroom toilet, shower and sink were disgusting. I found multiple hairs everywhere. Including a public hair on the faucet handles of the sink. The tea kettle was covered with mold as well as the shower. The carpets were threadbare and stained with burn marks. I wish I was comfortable speaking with the front desk about this issue but felt concerned that it would cause a worse situation than we found ourselves in.

Nice location staff helpful and friendly.
The main OYO hotel chain phone system is terrible though impossible to get through endless irritating options referring you to websites trying to get you off the phone eventually on 7 th attempt of calling got speak to an unhelpful rude advisor asked for confirmation codes have her the Expedia itenary number as that is DLL comes up on the app and your e mail confirmation she was unable to help or find the booking all we wanted to know was about the car parking facility she hung up and said she couldn’t help

How you can charge £400 for that old fashioned, smelly non air conditioned room is criminal

Dirty carpets, no professional greeting. Not very welcoming. Only one basic vending machine in a grubby and dated reception area!

Apart from the location, there is not much positive to say about the property. There is no designated parking as advertised, only off street parking. The paint in the room is peeling off, the window was opened and could not be closed. There are the essentials in the room but definitely overpriced.

The shower tray had mold in tray and up tiles
the bed wasn't made upon arrival
basic tea / coffee making facilities

The hotel was not worth the price, we had a room with balcony facing the main street way.
soon as we arrived at the hotel in day time there was loads of people stood outside hotel lingering
we entered the hotel and it had a filthy mold smell
we arrived in our room and everything was filthy and unclean
the windows where dirty and curtains all ripped and had an awful smell which seemed like they haven't been washed
the carpet was not hooverd and mirror had fingerprints all over it
for the price of £150, the TV was small balcony door locks was broken with screws hanging out which is a health and safety hazard
the whole hotel room had an awful smell.
we came back to our hotel at night time and there was loads of people outside the hotel late at night making noise, and we had a balcony room that faced the main road where everyone was.
it seemed like they was all friends with the manager, just stood outside lingering shouting and making loads of noise making it difficult to sleep
no safety like safe boxes or much storage
the only positive thing was the bed
would never recommend this hotel to anyone for such a big price and awful service and awful accommodation
the photos of the rooms do not look anything like the room we stayed in, this is false advertisement

I rarely leave reviews; good or bad. This hotel is just terrible. Staff were not very helpful and stood around giggling to each other while we were checking in. Day two of our resevation we cam downstairs and another guest was furious with the staff because a member of staff had been in their room and had left the door ajar and vulnerable to thieves. Honestly this place felt more like a clubhouse for the manager and their friends rather then a full hotel. For the love of god; they had an actual hosptial bed in the lobby!? Including an IV drip. I couldnt believe it honestly. For the quality of a hotel; it was terrible given the price we paid for the rooms it was even worse. I wish the hotel all the luck because no one who stays there seems to be pleased so far. I was in half a mind to demand a refund after seeing the state of the place; I only regret that I didn't and I wasted my money on this place. If you're looking for a nice hotel avoid this one. P.S despite agreeing on expedia that I would on site; they tried to charge my card before that. Even after speaking with an OYO customer representative and being assured that I could pay on site, they tried to charge my card later that same night
