About this house rental
Welcome to our lakehouse in the Berkshires! Chat GPT wants you to know this tranquil & picturesque getaway offers a perfect blend of relaxation & outdoor adventure, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers, families, & those seeking a peaceful retreat. The house is on the lake with water views from every room. Curl up on our window seats or the back deck to enjoy the sunshine. With direct access to the lake, you can swim, kayak, paddleboard, & lay on the dock (snowshoeing too!).
You'll have views of the lake as soon as you pull into the driveway. The main living space has huge windows on all three sides so you'll be surrounded by both nature and views of the water. When you walk in the house, the guest room (queen bed), guest bathroom, and laundry room are all on the first floor. The kitchen and living room are next to each other so everyone can hang out together. The kitchen has a big island, two bar stools, and a new farmhouse sink. The living room has a sectional couch and a TV. The first floor also has a sunroom - our favorite room in the house. It's both the dining room and has a custom built window seat for you to curl up on.
The primary bedroom and bathroom are upstairs (queen bed). There's also tons of space upstairs for yoga, a desk to work at, and another window seat to read on.
The lower level has both a gym and an office with a twin trundle bed in it.
There's also a big backyard! We built a brand new deck in 2023. There's plenty of seating, a gas grill, a hammock, a firepit, and a dock with Adirondack chairs.
All rooms have new sheets, towels and air conditioning. The lower level room does not have air conditioning but it doesn’t get warmer than 65 degrees on a hot day! The kitchen has cookware and dishes for you to use. Please enjoy and be sure to take care of our kitchen for us!
We've lived in this home for many years and love spending time here in every season. We hope you love our home as much as we do.
You'll have access to the entire house except for the closet in the primary bedroom. Please note that although there's a pontoon boat and sailboat in the photos, you will not have access to them. We do have a kayak and paddleboard for you to use though!
The Berkshires are full of activities, culture, hiking, and good food! We highly suggest breakfast at the Neon Newt, which is right in Becket. There are tons of hiking trails nearby. If you're looking for museums, start with the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Clark, and MASS MoCa. There's skiing nearby too at Butternut, Catamount, and Jiminy Peak. If you want to stroll around town, Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington are filled with galleries, small shops, restaurants, ice cream, and coffee.
House Rules:
- No diving
- At least half of the guests must be over 25
- No parties, please
- Please do not use the wood stove
- Please follow the water usage rules posted in the house for septic safety purposes
- Please follow the house leaving instructions when you check out. They’re in your welcome packet at the house.
