Had several items broke or smelled funny in my room.

Our hotel room had clothes from the previous guest in it. If it is cleaned, would they not notice that? The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned in a while, only surface. There was toothpaste stains on the counters and red hair that definitely was not from our family. Three times I requested that someone address the smell in the hallway and my room, but no follow-up was given. Our toilet was also broken upon arrival. They did fix that.
The gym and pool were great though! They were well maintained and clean.

With tickets at the Orpheum (just three blocks away), the Hilton on Marquette seemed like a natural choice. And really, you can’t beat the location - just a block from Nicolett, you’re only a short walk (or Uber) from a wide range of dining and shopping options.
But the hotel itself was, in a word, underwhelming.
Let me preface this by saying that the hotel staff is excluded from that summation. From the front desk to housekeeping to the bar staff, the hotel staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful.
No, my complaints, if you can even call them that, concern the building and its amenities.
Let me also preface this by saying I do not book into a Hilton expecting a luxury experience. However, even for a mid-budget hotel, it seemed oddly lacking. It was, simply put, the unbuttered toast of hotels.
Getting in late and hoping for a quiet night in and a drink from the mini-bar? Well, there isn’t one. Room service? Not available. A bathrobe after you’ve just jumped out of the shower? Nope. Extra blankets in the linen closet (since this is a Minneapolis and the winter temperatures can drop like a stone)? Guess again.
On the positive side, the room was clean, if slightly outdated, and again the staff were, without exception, dears.
At the end of the day, though, this was just another underwhelming downtown Minneapolis hotel in a long line of the same. Next time, I think I’ll just book one of my usual hotels in Saint Paul and make the commute.

Very well kept hotel with fantastic service! Would definitely not hesitate to stay there again in the future.
Our one critique, if we have to give one, is that there was no microwave in our room. But in the grand scheme of the stay, 9.9/10.

We had a great stay, friendly check in, clean room, nice pool. Also friendly service at the grab and go when I went to grab a coffee.

Very nice hotel with a cool lobby where you can have drinks. It’s right downtown so you can walk and find most everything that you would need. It’s close to US Bank Stadium, and walking distance to the baseball stadium as well.

We were in town for an event at the Target Center. The Hilton was within walking distance to the venue and plenty of places to dine. Our rooms were clean and quiet. Coffee and small marketplace on site were helpful. We'll be back.

It was not unique. The website lead us to expect much more.

Overall a nice property to stay the night. However, there was a previous guest’s luggage tag on the floor and the return vent for AC was covered in dust. Not a deal breaker, I whipped the return vent with a towel and threw the luggage tag away. Rooms are dated and could use a “spring” cleaning.

I liked that I was able to check in early. I also liked the free storage and a place to chill while waiting for my train.
