We were very excited to stay at Hotel Seward. The staff upfront was very helpful and accommodating. We appreciate their support.

Tough climb up 3 flights of stairs with no elevator for two seniors dragging luggage around for an 8 day travel experience.

Our first time in Seward and when we go back we will use Hotel Seward again. They were very accommodating and the staff were extremely friendly.

Staff was extra nice and helpful. Did not like the idea of no breakfast and the option offered at the Edgewater was expensive and terrible!

Stayed for 2nights in August. While sort of close to town was too far from docks and Sealife center. Had to find parking which was difficult. Front desk personnel talked a lot amongst themselves and not to visitors

The Hotel Seward was average. I missed that it has two shared bathrooms down the hall and was a little surprised. No private bathroom in the room that I booked, so be sure to check if you stay. If you’re looking for a place to sleep than it’s fine. Thanks

The hotel meet our needs for a two night stay. Front desk staff did their job, but did not smile or make me feel as if they were interested in me as a customer, ie asking is there was anything else I needed. Could not answer a question about possibly cancelling a future reservation when the Expedia website said to check with the hotel.

This is a wonderful historic hotel in Seward. It reminded us of historic hotels and guest houses in Africa. Clean, quiet and in the middle of town. The hallways to the rooms were decorated with historic pictures and explanations from that time. Downers were no bathrooms in the old section where we were housed. The cost, as with everything in Alaska was too much for the value. But we would definitely stay there again if we return.

Very positive feeling upon arrival, but the facilities had a few odd quirks. The parking area has a limited number of spaces so if you arrive late you will likely be parking on the street (which limits one to 2 hours during the day). If you prefer tea to coffee you won't have many options; one person at the front desk suggested using the (single serving) coffee maker to warm water, which some tea drinkers might object to as the drink will then have a coffee taste. (btw, I overheard this same person tell a client the street parking was unlimited - demonstrably false). Most of the front desk staff were helpful, so this one person seemed like an outlier; but it did diminish the overall impression of the hotel.

It is an old hotel and the rooms are on the small side but was comfortable and in a good location.

We had the three bedroom family room/house and it was amazing! Couldn’t have been a nicer location, or space. The shuttle driver was exceptionally sweet (Braco I think…I am horrible with names) and went over and above to help us. I can’t say enough good about this stay!

The room was extremely small, hot (no way to adjust temperature), and noisy. Staff were all friendly and attentive.

Liked the location. The staff was lost in space. Nobody I interacted with knew what they were doing.
Worst experience ever.

Our stay here was wonderful. The staff went over and beyond to help us out when one of our family members was sick.
One thing I would mention is regarding breakfast options. We were directed to a sister hotel across the street that offered breakfast. We paid over $15 each for a typical hotel buffet breakfast, which was way overpriced for a continental breakfast (though there was eggs and bacon).

The first room we are assigned have very strong weed smell. the staffs changed us to another room, but the door latch is missing. we have to use a table to put infront of the door to make us feel safer at night.

The hotel is fairly modern and well kept although there is an old section that is not as nice, small, bare bones rooms, shared bathrooms in the hallway. Our room in the new section was small, barely enough room for the large bed and dresser, but clean and modern. Another member of our group had a nice very large room The biggest complaint was the room we were given, 330 was not listed on the directional sign by the elevator so it took some time for us to find our room.

We were not at all happy with this stay. Most of the rooms, including ours, did not have a private bathrooms. For our floor of 15 rooms, there were only 2 shared bathrooms, quite a distance away. When we arrived at our room it was unbearably hot with no climate controls, even though it was 55º outside. We opened the window to cool down, and the next day it was too cold. The staff attendant at the registration desk was frequently absent for long periods of time and not helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.

Checkin experience was a nightmare for a group of 10. Our group had a variety of new and older rooms. Older rooms were very small and some do not have private restrooms. Entire group enjoyed the bar area each day with Shane who runs the bar and is great. We also took advantage of the complementary shuttle with Barrack who took our group everywhere we desired.

We didn’t pay attention to the booking and we had gone online to extend our stay for our fishing trip. We noticed that our current room was with a shared bathroom. We called to change the room to private bathroom.
They were very helpful.
For the extended stay they were going to put us on the older side but we wld have had to check out and in again so we requested to stay in the same room. They made it happen.
Shamari at the front desk was so helpful and amazing and accommodating.
Room was clean , we had plenty of clean towels each day , you can walk to most of the restaurants.
I wld stay here again 😁

I was put in a room that was prepared for a disabled person, wheelchair bound, and so the bed was only about 12" off the floor. The mattress was soft, so rolling out of bed and climbing to a standing position wasn't comfortable.
