Check in was good. Room key was keyed incorrectly unfortunately. Parking is not the most accessible. Room was clean and quiet.

The front desk was fabulous.
We were disappointed with our room. The carpet smelled really bad. We were told that we were in a room on a floor that didn’t allow pets but the carpet did smell like it had dogs in it many times before.
The breakfast we had in the restaurant was excellent.

I thought booking at a Holiday Inn would be a safe bet. This hotel is very aged and not well kept. The bathroom door in our room didn't close, because the door was too big for the frame. The TV remore was very dirty and had visible dirty areas and it was sticky. This is a 2-star hotel (at best), charging 4-star rates.

The hotel smelt like body odour as soon as u walk in the rooms were not clean and someone pooped on the floor in the stairwell so im assuming security isnt very good either when told about the floor situation staff said we will get to it when we can which in my opinion is a bio hazard that should be dealt with immediately overal not very good place to stay i will be staying somewhere else next time for the price we paid

5 min walk to Canada Life Centre. 5 min walk to Portage Place. I had a nice view of the legislature building. Comes with fridge and microwave, shampoo and conditioner provided. My only complaint about the room is that you can't close the curtains, so if you want to nap or sleep in there's no way to block out the light.

The place was not clean inside. Even in the room, there was no microwave, Carpet was foul smelling, in the washroom only shampoo and conditioner was available. Body wash can not accessible because it was brokened. Escalator was dirty. The front staff were nice and professional. Dining area and the staff as well as the food options were nice.

Unfortunately we were met with fighting, drunks and belligerent people. It was hard to feel safe. Many of us were scared to walk into the hotel without others as we were there for concert.
Evaucees were in the hotel and many were kind and respectful. Others not so much.
Parking is a joke, 20$ for unsafe parking? We couldnt even walk to the vehicle without fear.

Room was okay.
The property and typical guests staying there (unsupervised children) constantly roaming hallways & lobby. Loud, obnoxious, drug taking visitors outside the main entrance was unsettling.
I will never stay there again and will not recommend this hotel. Sad hotel and image for Holiday Inn!!

When we checked in they told me they upgraded our room to a king suite for no extra charge. But I was traveling with a friend and we really wanted separate beds. They told us the reason for upgrading was because of some forest fire evacuees, which is fine but we were not notified before arriving. It would have been nice to have the option of accepting or cancelling for no charge. Also, upon waking on our first of 2 mornings, there was a cockroach in our bed. We inspected the room for other bug evidence and found none so we divided to take a full room service on the room and stay another night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The appartments are very confortable. Facilities, dining room are great. Just one of the elevators have a problem on the door operation and the curtns are too short. Not enough to block the ouside light. The outside noise from the avenue it's loud sometimes, but for me does not affect too.much the experience.

The hotel was located in an area where there are a lot of transients. I was warned not to go out at night from there. The hotel had 24 hour security, and you are required to scan an access card to get in the lobby. The staff were friendly. The room was clean. The pool was sub-par, hot tub, not at all hot. The highlight was finding a great little café across the street called Stella's.
