This place needs a good cleaning an maitenance. Toilet wasnt bolted down towel rack was falling off the wall sink drained slow shower valve leaked. might be ok for a single guy passing throught but i wouldnt bring my family there.

I have stayed at econo lodge in Rocky top for many years now. It’s an older hotel that could definitely use a facelift and time and again sketchy people will stay here. It’s not the Hilton by any means. What I like about this hotel is that it is budget friendly. The place may be old but it’s always been clean and I’ve never seen a bug of any kind. The beds are somewhat comfortable and there’s a pool. They serve cereal and bagels for breakfast. It’s super basic but if you are like our family then you wouldn’t be at the hotel much anyway and it would be just a place to lay down at night. The staff has always been friendly and I’ve never had problems checking in or out with the correct bill paid and no questions asked. I’m not sure what you are looking for or what your expectations are. It’s not a hotel I’d walk bare foot on the carpet and if you’re looking for every crook and cranny like you would look at the Hilton then I suggest you find another place to stay. This is a cheap hotel that you can lay your head down at night. The owners are on top of it here too. If your thinking you are gonna party all night and keep people up doing drugs, or drinking then plan to get kicked out because they have a no tolerance policy. This is the other reason that I like this hotel. It’s a two star hotel that I rate at least 4 stars because they have all that my family needed here.

It was dated, but well kept. Only complaints are poor breakfast and floors in the room could use a good mopping.

Room was ok except the bathroom. Parked right in front of the room, which I like. Good water pressure. Black mold all over the shower and bathroom. You get what you pay for

This place has not been updated and maintained in many years. The bottom of the shower tub looked so bad that I decided not to shower. The lights are very dim and depressing. The air conditioner filter where the air comes out had not been cleaned in years. The “breakfast” was cereal and bagels. No protein. Sheets and pillowcases were clean, though!

I have used this particular hotel several times in the past and been very satisfied. The ONLY issue this time was in the room itself. The sink and mirror were located in the bedroom area, next to the bed. This was awkward in the middle of the night when one of us got up to get a drink, wash hands, etc. Would not have been an issue if I had been traveling alone.

Property was okay, but was charged by Expedia and again by the property as they did not show the payment in their system.

We did not stay. Would check us in until 3 and we were early. Didn’t even tell us if we had a room. We had driven all day and so we left. Very unhappy

This was my 2nd time staying. Bed was a more firm than i like. Room was clean. Night staff and morming staff are super nice.

If you're looking for a cheaper place to stay for a night or 2 this is it. They have cleaned up since last year especially the pool area. The room was ok, but they need some bleach cleaner in the bathroom and a broom to knock the cobwebs out of the ceiling and corner of the window. Good luck making coffe the cord was to short to reach any outlets. You should ipen some if these rooms and air them out once and a while pretty stale smelling. Only there for 2 nights so tolerable.

The young lady at the front desk was kind and funny. If you have a room on the first floor, you can back your vehicle right up to it, which is nice for unloading ot in the case of malfeasance, you could transport stuff easily from your room. I had a dream about both Ben Rothlisberger and Mumford and Sons. Not concurrently, but separately. Nothing to do with the hotel, but I thought it was cool. About every 5 minutes or so, the air conditioner pops on to chill the room. The AC works very hard to chill the room. The city is Rocky Top, Tennessee. Again nothing to do with the econo lodge, but you may get that song stuck in your head. I would stay here’ again.

I read the reviews before coming here and they commented positively on the cleanliness. They were right, it may be slightly older but it is very clean which is a big factor for me. I would recommend it for that reason and definitely stay here again.
