Such a lovely place. The grounds are magnificent and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Within walking distance to port en Bessin which is a quaint sea side village. Picturesque.

We notified the hotel we would be checking in late. We were traveling with another couple. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and showed us to our rooms which were in another building and up a flight of stairs. For what we paid we did not expect to stay in the annex. We expressed our concern but was told there was nothing else available. The shower was a major problem with operating it and keeping the water inside. The bathroom floor would fill with water. The mini bar was a joke 2 waters 2 sodas and a juice. There is no exercise room! We did see a room which appeared to be in the process of being renovated. This should have been disclosed and it wasn't. We asked to speak with a manager both days and was told no one was available. Very disappointing. This is not a 5 star hotel

It’s fine, just not great value for money.
The public areas are beautiful & well maintained.
The garden restaurant was mediocre and expensive.
The pool area wasn’t open - even just to sit by.
The bedroom was nice - not amazing considering it was supposed to be a superior room.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We just returned to Chateau la Cheneviere for our 5th stay. Again, our experience was amazing. Nothing has changed since our very first trip in 2014. The location is very strategic as it serves as a hub to visit numerous towns such as Etretat, Mont st. Michel, Honfleur, Caen, Bayeux and the
D day Beaches. The hotel itself is 3 minutes from the ocean, yet sits in a very tranquil countryside estate surrounded by farmland.
The gardens are immaculate and very well kept. The rooms are large, very clean and decorated in a very tasteful manner.
The staff is spectacular. They give you the feeling that you are staying as a guest in their home. If you have an opportunity, book dinner at their restaurant La Botaniste. The food, service is excellent and the experience will be an event in itself. Already looking forward to our next visit.
