Alex the manager is excellent, as is the whole staff working under him. Very helpful in every respect and the concierge makes great restaurant recommendations. The international crew have the highest English proficiency, which is very much needed. Well done.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Not sure if I’m a fan of the toilet being located away from the shower/tub area. Only suggestion would be provide a few hooks for hanging coats.

All around great hotel for a first stay in Tokyo. Above all the staff are very fluent in English and incredibly helpful -- the concierge was so great for making reservations, suggesting great restaurants that weren't touristy, and since they use WhatsApp w guests incredibly easy to communicate with even when we were out and about.
The hotel itself is clean, stylish, and has a great coffee shop and rooftop bar as well as comfortable, sizable rooms.
Only caveat: it is a bit of a walk from Shinjuku station (definitely a solid 15 min) but as long as that's not a dealbreaker, this is a perfect hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed our 5 nights at the Kimpton very much. We were welcomed by the staff, notably by Nazza, who recently joined the hotel group. The room was efficient and well-designed. We enjoyed the materials used, lighting of the room, sliding panels for privacy and furniture including the small sofa and cantilevered table.
We were happy to have selected this hotel (one of 4 we book with another couple around Japan with another couple); this was our last and best hotel in which we stayed. All 4 of us were very impressed with the breakfast quality, range and presentation. Each day we looked forward to reconvening with our friends and talking over the day’s plan. On the subject of food; we used the concierge for all but one meal; Laura was spot on with our opening night’s dinner at a Yakitori restaurant, the next a Japanese-French fusion that was excellent. Great communication throughout and it made our last section ot the trip much more memorable. My husband and I considered the value of this boutique hotel: quality of the building, hospitality service persons, evening happy hour, breakfast quality and style and location. We felt like the staff made every effort to add a personal flavor to our interactions throughout our stay.

Wow! I can’t say enough amazing things about this hotel. First, the property is absolutely charming, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was super comfortable. The breakfast was phenomenal—not your typical hotel buffet. You order several different breakfast courses from a menu in the most adorable restaurant, making every morning a perfect start!
One night, I headed up to the rooftop bar, where I enjoyed a delicious fresh fruit cocktail on the patio, taking in the breathtaking views of Tokyo’s skyline and city lights. They also offer a cute cocktail hour that I only got to attend once, but I wish I’d gone more often.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. One thing I didn’t realize when booking was that it’s about a 20-minute walk from the heart of Shinjuku, which turned out to be a blessing. It’s close enough to enjoy the energy of the area or catch a train, but far enough for some peace and quiet around the hotel

Fantastic service from the front desk and the concierge. Staff was proactive, kind, and courteous. The room itself was gorgeous, with an incredible view of Shinjuku. Amenities were perfect too!

Our stay at The Kimpton, Shinjuku, was fantastic. The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, making it easy to explore Tokyo.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with a relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home. The on-site coffee shop was a great spot to start the day, offering a variety of options, including choices for dairy-free and lactose-intolerant guests.
The room was spacious, with separate areas for the bed, lounge, and dining. The modern decor was stylish, and the blackout blinds were perfect for getting some rest. Despite being in the heart of Shinjuku, the room was wonderfully quiet, thanks to excellent soundproofing.
Breakfast was a highlight and well worth the cost. The set menu had everything you could want—appetisers, mains, a breadbasket, breakfast bowls, juices, and coffee. We also enjoyed the in-room dining, which was easy to order through the bedside table and arrived quickly, hot, and delicious.
The only small downside was the lack of a safe in the room for securing our belongings. Despite this, our first Kimpton experience was excellent, and we’ll definitely stay here again if we’re back in Tokyo.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Very clean, great amenities, nice social hour with free wine, extremely accommodating staff and nice gym. My only comment is not necessarily the hotel’s fault but taxis don’t know about the entrance to the hotel and try to pick you up outside on a busy street.

Great location (although first impressions were different).
All the staff were super helpful especially Alessandro who went above and beyond to help us when the bullet train was out of service unexpectedly and we were not able to get to Kyoto.

We had the most wonderful stay at Kimpton . All the staff were super friendly and helpful . The hotel has an evening social hour where the hotel manger , Maxim made everyone welcome. The breakfast was excellent . There is also complementary drinks
and energy bars until 10 am on the first floor .
The location is great - close enough to Shinjuku station but somehow perfectly away from all the traffic and excessive noise . We hope to come back to Kimpton!
