The checkin, the location and the service were superb.
The only observation (not criticism) concerns the bed.
The mattress was very, very soft. Some may like a soft mattress, but we do not. We did not sleep well and woke feeling achy.
It may not be a problem for others, but is for us.

Someone was screaming punching walls fighting drunk at 0300am disturbing guests our family listened to this and were very concerned and fearful stating they were very drunk and crazy. Room 18 along the lower level could not sleep

The stay was great. However, I was double charged. I paid upfront through hotels.com and then they charged the 1 night stay at Bowline instead of charging for valet. Now I am waiting for it to reconcile and dispute it with my bank. Customer service and system needs improvement and created an inconvenience for me to deal with.

Overall nice stay but expensive, there's an added fee for amenities but the sauna had cracks and didn't always have water available in the bucket. The beds are too soft.

This was our second time at the Bowline. The staff was incredibly friendly. You can't beat the location over the water. We had our two year old with us and he absolutely loved the sea lion viewing area on the boardwalk between the two hotel buildings.
Great food at the restaurant, great spot to just chill and read a book and look out over the water and WA.
Hope to make it back again next year!

Absolutely wonderful in every way.
We had one meal (breakfast) there & it was fabulous! Location is perfect for exploring. Definitely going back.

The Bowline was our second stop of three. The property was nice, beautiful views comfortable sitting in The Knot, which is the bar/restaurant area with amazing views. Loved the room, not a fan of Astoria. We did venture down the road to a delicious dinner with fresh pasta. Probably the best meal on our week long trip.

The $50 pet fee unexpected and excessive. It was not noted on hotels. Com . The hotel rooms have concrete floors so it should not require much if any additional services for a small dog.
Division walls appear to havel much soundproofing.
The river front rooms give you the feeling of a stateroom on a cruise ship without seasickness. Great views and highly recommended them.
Sea lion's are a little loud however very entertaining.
Exterior patios could use a little more maintenance.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. This was the best place to stay in town. We stayed on the river and it was magical. We could hear the seals all the time, but they did not disrupt our sleep. There was also a white noise machine and earplugs in the room, so maybe that is why we slept so good. Will definitely stay with them again!

Only recommendation is grab bars in showers for safety. My personal preference is for firmer beds. You have done great job on your hotel and it was favourite of our road trip.

Great location right on the Columbia River, walking distance to the downtown section, right on the Riverfront Trolley line. It was a warm day when I arrived, and my room was south-facing, and very, very warm. There was a ceiling fan and a table fan, but being right on the street, I thought it imprudent to leave the window open to cool the room down. Bad timing, and no ac. I was not a fan of the bed, very squishy matress, personally prefer firmer, but the linens were lovely. I had an excellent meal at The Knot, salmon chowder, focaccia bread, and a seasonal Lemon Drop, all reasonably priced. I thought the room was overpriced.

Property was unique with the interesting designs of the room and internal architecture. The furniture in the room and hotel common areas were nice. The view from the room to the River was excellent. The only area for improvement is to install an air conditioning unit of some kind in the room or be clear in the advertisement that there is no AC. The room was nearly 80 degrees both nights even with the windows open, making it hard for us to sleep soundly (including our 2 year old). Otherwise, a great stay.

We love coming here annually. The atmosphere is amazing and feel pampered. The staff is friendly. Beds are soft, a little too soft on the memory foam.

Had a great stay. It’s right in town so lots of walkable places for dining etc. I only have two complaints. 1. No A/C the room was 80 degrees this time of year I was able to get it down to 77 by cracking the windows and putting a small fan in front of it. 2. Staff is really busy all the time. Restaurant area left unattended for long periods of time. Maybe hire more people if needed. I ended up walking somewhere else for breakfast because I was tired of waiting. They were all busy so I get it.

Really incredible stay at the Bowline! This is now one of my all time favorite hotels thanks to the friendly staff, attractive and comfortable room (bed is so comfy), sea lions under the hotel pier that you can see and hear, sauna on the pier, delicious food and drinks in the restaurant/bar! Can’t wait to visit again. I will make the trip to Astoria just to stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's beautiful and in a great location, located right on the water and in the heart of Astoria. Walkable to tons of restaurants and shops. We loved having an afternoon drink on the outdoor patio area. We stayed with our two kids who are 8 and 5, and the room had a fold out sofa bed and was quite large. Only two things to keep in mind was they play loud music in the lobby restaurant each evening until about 9pm, and if you choose a room with a sofa bed you won't have a water view. I was a little bummed about that but overall would definitely stay here again.

Last minute booking, what a great find and stay. The property is waterfront with amazing views. This new hotel is well designed and has so many fun features. Don't miss the personal waterfront saunas, the comfy slippers and bathrobes. The restaurant and bar were great and the food was delicious and unique. Parking street side was easy and the location is close to everything in Astoria.
