Room was nice and we enjoyed the brunch in the mornings. The front desk staff was less than helpful and extremely rude overall. I was here with my wife, and the staff talked down to us until they realized we were staying in a premium room. In addition, they insisted on writing out my credit card info on a piece of paper that they keep at the front desk in case of any charges at the hotel bar. This is an extremely insecure process as anyone in the hotel could find this information in their open boxes on the wall. We stayed here in part because of the pools, but the water was so cold we couldn’t get in.

Four senior women travelling together. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here. Charming is the exact word for this hotel. Beautiful decor inside and out. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and quite spacious. The complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated! Breakfast was beyond our expectations and we were given a packed lunch to take with us on our journey after checking out early in the morning. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!

Large clean and comfortable room. We were in a separate building a short distance away from the lobby and breakfast area. Nice small pool and patio was dedicated to our building. Very quiet which we loved. Decent breakfast with lots of choices. Good location, walkable to town without the traffic hassle.

Our stay was amazing. When we arrived they said there was am issue with our room so we got upgraded from a room to a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen and patio. It was a 5 minute walk from the main property for breakfast, but nothing to complain about. Our property also had a pool, it wasn’t as big as the main one, but I found it was more private. The breakfast is the absolute highlight of this place. Everything is clean and the staff are all very kind. No complaints.

As other reviewers have said, the breakfast was truly excellent. It’s a slight walk from the center of Lagos - but that also meant that it was very quiet at night (so we got good sleep). We enjoyed walking to and from the old town for dinner every night! We also got a complimentary bottle of wine in our room at check-in, which was a nice touch.

My partner and I stayed at Horel Dom Manuel for 6 nights and loved every single second of our stay here!
The room was incredibly clean and the cleaners are extremely friendly and thorough when cleaning your room (this can be requested each day if required!). We also watched them cleaning around the pool area and the extent to which they go to to clean the area was fab.
The pool area is super quiet which is great for anyone wanting to relax, there were always beds free when we wanted them and umbrellas positioned in great locations for when you get a little too hot. Or a dip in the pool does the job too (the pool doesn’t get much sun so it is super cold but still lovely).
The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is vast and some things change each day to keep it interesting (the cakes, fruit and pastry selections) but they always have the standards each day too (eggs, sausages, bacon, a variety of bread, cereal, salad, juices etc.).
The rooms have a hairdryer in the bathroom, a fridge and clothes horse on the balcony as standard (which is a fab touch!), we were also greeted on arrival with a free bottle of red wine and water. Irons are available on request.
The location is also brilliant: a 10-minute walk into the centre of Lagos, and a shop close by for any additional room requirements.
We genuinely don’t have a bad word to say about this hotel and would love to return in the future!!

Beautiful rooms and grounds - just like the pictures people posted - service was excellent from checkin, breakfast to check out. Great breakfast in the morning. Great location 10 minutes in one direction to Largos old town and 10 minutes walk in the other direction for the Anna beach. Was always able to find parking on the side streets.

The building has a lot of charm. Plants, flowers and classic Portuguese interior design. It feels you are in a farmhouse, not in a hotel. The breakfast was great with so many options. The attic room where we stayed was so spacious, with a huge bathroom and a private terrace. I'd point out that they gave us combined twin beds and not a queen/king bad, which wasn't ideal. Also, the listing mention that they have three pools which is not true. There is only one pool available. The other images are for another properties across the street, which I'm assuming they also manage. This should be fixed on the listing since is quite misleading. The one pool available is great though. I'd stay in this hotel again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an adults only hotel in Faro.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. It was perfect in every way - the staff was always so helpful and even went out of their way to organize a take-away breakfast for the morning we checked out because we had to leave before they opened. The room was great and beds were very comfortable, pool is stunning and it’s very close to the beach and old town.
Do not skip the spa!

Highly recommend staying here in Lagos. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of delicious food. We had access to a large private balcony which also had a set of beach lounging chairs. The room was spacious and the bathroom had an excellent shower. Truly the best hotel experience.

Hotel is charming older inn style but in amazing condition. Staff are very helpful and friendly. All speak English well. Breakfast is amazing. Nice pool with comfortable deck lounge chairs. Beach towels are provided. Short walk to downtown where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Beach is about a 10 minute walk. Lots of stairs to get down to the beach though. Warning; while Portugal is a beautiful country, it’s very hilly and so you need to have good mobility and able to climb lots of hills and stairs.

From entrance (small door) does not look promising but when you enter in the property, all is nice, well maintained, details everywhere and very clean. I loved breakfast and rooms size, good choice to stay at Lagos
