Stayed 2 nights on business. Great hotel with much more potential. Staff was attentive and very pleasant. Room was large and well kept, but decor and furniture a little outdated. They may be remodeling because there were construction materials stored in parking area in front of the lobby (which blocked parking slots next to entrance). The room, facility and grounds were very clean, quiet and comfortable. I liked that they had heavy, plush towels and a vanity with a small, lighted, magnifying mirror. Bathroom was huge and cold. Lobby had complimentary water and coffee, which I liked. Also a huge, hotel living room next to lobby with nice couches to hang out and conversate. Nice bar upstairs where they offer wine tasting. Never had a chance to indulge due to conference in SLO. Would like to go back after they finish construction.

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary Monday and the hotel was beautiful despite heavy construction, the staff was friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the robes were a plus to have with the hot tub just located on the balcony. We look forward to our next stay.

Although there was construction going on, we had a fabulous stay. We rode our bikes to the beach. There was live music venues along their biking/walking trail. We only stayed one night, but wished we stayed longer to play pickleball and check everything out. The hotel itself was very clean and nice. The fireplace was a romantic touch.

The main reason why we decided to stay at that hotel was the access to the nearby athletic club that was covered by $30 resort fee that they charge you. It was a very unpleasant surprise for us to find out upon arrival that it is no longer included. It is quite outrageous to continue charging guests $30 resort fee. When we asked what that resort fee covers we were advised that it gets us “free coffee, a small bottle of water and bicycle rental”. We tried to use the bicycles last time we stayed there. They are some clunky never-oiled graveyard things that won’t get you anywhere. I am attaching a picture to show what we were forced to pay $30 for. Also the gate to the trail is locked now. If you want to go for a walk you n ex to go around the property and nearby construction. And we were put into a room overlooking the parking lot with the same old and super-uncomfortable mattresses. Never again!

We have stayed at Avila Village Inn many times, and always have a great experience. This time the power was out when we arrived, but it came back on just in time for check in and Jenny the manager handled the challenging situation with ease and confidence. The hot tub is perfect after dinner when you want to wind down and also with a cup of coffee in the morning. I highly recommend Avila Village Inn, great quiet romantic getaway a bike ride to the beach.

Love this place! Beautiful location and walking path to downtown Avila Beach. However, a little concerned about the parking situation once their addition is completed. Hope it in includes a parking garage!
