Beautiful location and lovely grounds.
However, we had dinner at the restaurant and found it sub-par, especially given what they charged. This was the general consensus from our party of 10. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The property was beautiful. The staff was friendly. Only complaint was our food at the restaurant took a very long time to come out, but when it did it was delicious.

Beautiful lodge- views are stunning.
Only negative besides very limited dining options (because of being there during the week) was the hot tub was dirty and jets not functioning.
Dining options in Winthrop were very limited.

What a beautiful place to stay especially if you are looking for all the outdoor activities surrounded by mountains. Breathtaking.
We had a girls trip with the five of us and had a wonderful time. However a couple things to note:
There are no shuttles available at the lodge, nor could we find any private shuttle service providers in Twisp or Winthrop. Uber and Lyft aren’t available either. So if you are looking to leave the resort to go into town for shopping or dining just know that you will have to drive 10-11 miles each way.
The bar and restaurant at the lodge has some good options - the bar seemed to have a better menu then the restaurant, however be prepared from very long waits especially for dinner. Food and drinks were good. It seems they are short staffed or have new employees which result in longer wait times.
We were happy they had two outdoor pools both were relatively warm. We enjoyed the pool that was closer to the Robinson rooms as it has a bathroom very close by. We so recommend having a pool for adults only. The hot tub was hot and we loved it!
The game room was a blast. Pool tables, ping pong, shuffle board, and foosball.
We probably wouldn’t go here again for a girls trip, but definitely for a romantic weekend or for hiking, biking, and horse back riding. Beautiful place and definitely a great place to go to get a way from it all.

Very relaxing stay - in se the hotel is very comfortable - pity that the service in the restaurant and at the reception was poor / that’s were as a guest you know you are not dealing with a family run hotel - staff is there to do the job and make money - restaurant food and service ia poor - hidden costs of 25 usd per day linked
to „amenities“ which means you pay extra for the pool and the WiFi, independent if you use them or not. Poor communication at check out!

This resort is so incredibly beautiful and well planned! The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. Our room looked out into the valley which is breathtaking. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The room amentities were well thought out and appreciated. The restaurants were excellent (GF and Veg options clearly marked on their menu). There are so many activities (spa, hiking, horseback riding) you can enjoy but be sure to note availability. We booked in part for the petting zoo for my son who is autistic but realized upon arrival that it is not available on the two days we would be here. My fault for assuming and not checking availability. This just means we will be coming back!

The hotel is in a beautiful location and the landscaping is well done. Only complaint is dinner took a very long time as they were short staffed. The waiter was very apologetic and made an adjustment to our bill.

The Sun Mountain Lodge was a beautiful property with gorgeous views and a lovely room. However, the dining was not good. The first night we tried to go to the bar and grill, we stood there for more than 10 minutes, and no one would catch our eye or acknowledge us, so we left. The next night, we got a table, but our food took more than an hour and a half to arrive, and even after the mess up with the kitchen, the service was spotty. An expensive and high-end property, like this one, should have a better run dining experience. It was disappointing and did not match the rest of our experience.

Sun Mountain Lodge was a well-deserved break for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Staff members were exceptional in service and attentiveness. The rooms are amazing in comfort and conveniences. Loved the pool which was perfect in temperature for my cold water swimming laps at the end of eventful evenings. Looking forward to returning next year for the next vacation. Thank you staff at Sun Mountain Lodge. You rock 😃 😊.

Attended the stargazing event, and loved it! The rooms are soundproof, it’s a very nice lodge in a natural, secluded setting. Gift shop is handy for snacks, drinks, essentials and souvenirs. Fitness center onsite is helpful. Lots of space to hangout in.

This is a lovely property! Very peaceful and close to some great hiking. Our room was spacious with a view of Gardner Mountain and the valley below. We had a nice deck to enjoy our morning coffee on. We enjoyed the in room coffee with Nespresso pods. My only thing I feel may need improvement might be the pool areas. The outdoor showered at both pools didn’t work. I didn’t feel as if the pool area was as clean as it could be. Other than that we would definitely come back!
