Didn’t stay long enough to enjoy everything as we arrived late and checked out early.
Staff couldn’t have been any nicer. Mint tea immediately upon arrival and it was great! Our room was a suite and full of character. Not pristine but that is the charm of the Riad. Had dinner at a neighboring Riad and that was amazing.
Our proprietor insisted on walking us there (3 women) and offered to come back to get us. We felt very safe.
Breakfast was ready promptly at 7:30 as we were leaving on a desert tour promptly at 8.
Sweets, breads and strong coffee was a great start to our day.
Thank you for your kindness!

Fes is an experience in itself. Riad Damia was a great experience, with the riad decorated in impressive Moroccan style. We were given a free upgrade to the top-floor suite which was huge and beautiful. The only downside is the water situation. On both nights, we had to settle for barely luke-warm water, which in itself, took more than 10 minutes of letting the water run to be passable in the cold winter.

This 300 year old palace turned Riad is magnificent. Management was very helpful in arranging tours and transfers.

Huge huge room (we got the biggest of 8 rooms in this hotel). A bit nervous when our tax had to drop us off a block from the hotel since the alley is too narrow for cars; the single door is probably smaller than our house door, but once you step inside the hotel is quite big up high open ceiling. The decorations are spectacular. It's a bit dated but well kept and clean.
I can't compliment enough about the staff. There are a couple of them working around the clock. They're very helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast is ok; the breads are good but no meat and we got just one egg per person. The gourmet dinner (extra $$) on rooftop is unforgettable (although it's 3 times more expensive than at the nice restaurants near Blue Gate).
The hotel is about 20-min walk from Blue Gate (if you go outside and walk along the wall of the Old Town ... walking thru Old Town takes anywhere between 15-min to forever, depending on how good you're at navigating the 13,000 streets and alleys of Fes Medina LOL. We were there for 6 days and failed everytime we attempted it).
Will definitely consider staying here next time we're in Fes!

The hotel is not bad for the money you spend, eventhough i believe the management should spen more on ghe maintenance of the guest rooms and toilets rather than spending on the appearance of the check in waiting area

Though the room picture that expedia showed was not the same room i received , our room was beutiful, it was nicely decorated , the beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was execllent. the breakfast was very good and lunch was excellent ( we had chicken pastilla, turkey skewers and chicken tagine ), i went with my two kids 8 and 12 and they were very happy, the hotel is nicely located near the madina about 10 to 15 mins walk.

Fes is a magical city. This Riad is also special. I noticed, however, that the owners like many others in Fes were more worried about making money than hospitality. As soon as you arrive they try to sell tours that may be very nice, but that we were not interested in. When we turned them down we noticed that the owner was not thrilled with us. We asked for recommendations for places to eat and they suggested their overpriced menu of course, they did not give us any other recommendations or tips. We noticed that they treated much better those who were spending more money on tours/at their restaurant.
The Riad itself is beautiful. Most Riads in Fes are. The problem is the cleanliness. The rooms were not clean, and the kitchen we of the Riad where the food was made was extremely dirty. There were bits of food on the counters left out overnight and just in bad shape overall.
I wouldn't go back to this Riad. Or the other three Riads owned by Mohammed. The Road is beautiful, it's just a shame that money is more important to them than cleanliness, upkeep, and hospitality.

What a beautiful riad within the walls of the Medina. We were greeted with mint tea and biscuits on our arrival. An excellent breakfast was served in the beautiful central courtyard of the riad. The riad is a 15 minute walk to the Bab boujloud (Blue Gates), and it was a bit more difficult to navigate the surrounding streets than we expected, but we figured in out in a couple days. I would recommend getting a detailed map.

Contact telephone number on the booking of hotels.com was the wrong number, we can’t reach the hotel when we checked in late, Taxi driver can't find this hotel easily.
Abdul the reception is very helpful in everything. Our room was smelling from the toilets from the sewages. Otherwise everything perfect.

We stayed with our children aged 12,9 and 6 for 4 nights in Raid Damia in May in their spacious and tastefully authentically decorated top floor apartment. The location was perfect and full of atmosphere and the guest roof terrace offered a great view.
The staff was really friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the variety of local breads / pancakes for breakfast. We booked our tour guides through Raid Damia. El Hadi, was our fantastic guide exploring the Medina. We all enjoyed his stories, company, enthusiasm and ability to pass on knowledge through adventure in this maze and we saw things we would never have seen without him. Fouad was our insightful tour guide/ driver that gave us a taste of the mountains and variety of landscapes with our highlight of seeing waterfalls and the city of Ifrane, Immazour, Azour, Mekness and Volubilis.

We really loved this Riad in the edge of the Medina (old city) in Fes. It's a short walk from the main street. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendliness, mint tea and cookies. Our room for 4 was a wonderful suite with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was across a short corridor, but it was for us only and very nice. Breakfast was a huge array of breads, cheese and yogurt with coffee and juice. We would definitely come again.

These guys say they were closed due to an electrical issue, but offered no assistance in getting us another room. Rumor is this is a typical ploy when they overbook. They really left us in the lurch!

the architecture and especially the courtyard is very traditional and beautiful. However the room is not that comfortable, and there's no air conditioner in the room. We had to leave the window open to get some cool air, but there're noisy children playing outside.
There's a garage near the entrance of the community and the guy of the garage will persuade you to park there, which is actually not necessary and expensive (50 MAD / night)

It was such a unique and amazing place to stay! it is lierallally a palace. Amazing details in the craftsmanship of the building and it is filled with cool antiques. only issue is the plumbing is somewhat slow to drain, but understandable for an old building. The service was excellent and very kind.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff consisted of just one person, but he went out of his way to make us feel confortable. He even cooked a delicious meal for us one night and accompanied us to the gate to get into the taxi the day we left, which was at dawn.
