The pool and sauna facilities were terrific - you can take a medicinal dip without going in the Heviz Lake. I didn't try the spa treatments, but they had lots of options at reasonable rates. Everything was clean and comfortable. The desk staff speak English well (and probably German and Russian in addition to Hungarian). The town is very walkable and picturesque. I came during the off-season and outside dining options were somewhat limited, but the hotel offers half- and full-board dining options covered in the room rate.

Wonderful staff prepared me a snack bag because I had a very early departure and would miss breakfast. And spa services were quite good.

I was traveling with my mum, and we both enjoyed our stay very much. What can I say, now I know why mum keeps choosing this hotel again every year :) An absolutely amazing hotel with comfortable rooms, a big spa area, fantastic high-quality food (don’t forget to try their desserts for dinner!) and very friendly staff who speak multiple languages. Location is top: the lake, supermarket, bus stop, shops, coffee places are all very close by! The hotel has a great view and I loved seeing gorgeous sunsets from our rooms every evening.
I also appreciated nice bonuses from the hotel. For example, every day for lunch they offer a delicious soup to everyone free of charge - so great, especially in cold times! Besides, a free welcome drink was a nice gesture as well (and champagne for breakfast on the weekend).
I highly recommend to everyone and will choose Europa Fit again next time for sure :)

Nice place to stat if you have an apartment type room; regular rooms too small for two people unless you are a couple, married or not. Breakfast and dinner included in daily price. Many breakfast choices. Dinner was fair.

OVerall had a great experience. Felt relaxed the whole time. The included buffet dinner is a nice touch with authentic Hungarian dishes to choose from. And for the price, I would go back. Thank you

Very nice hotel, with high rooms in good condition. The staff is very nice. However the A/C was weak, and the light in the room wasn't enough. They also don't clean your room unless you specifically place a sign on the door (which is ok, but they didn't tell us that during check in) - We had to find it on our own.

I chose this hotel because of its tripadvisor ratings, however I was not so satisfied. First of all, the rates of this hotel is very high, for about 150 USD one would expect a much nicer interior for the room. It was in good condition, but it was dull and cheap. The TV was not bigger than my laptop screen, about 17 inch. The bed was big and comfy, however it comprised of 2 single beds that were not attached to each other so sometime during heavier duty they separated and there was a gap in between. The bathroom was nice, I have to give that to the hotel.
Facilities were good, nice pools and great sauna area. But the outdoor pool was cold, only about 28 C, so no one used it. What a waste! It would have been great to plunge in the steaming thermal water outside, and enjoy the environment.
The food was the highlight. Not the most expensive ingredients, but well prepared and delicious.
Overall it feels that Heviz is a bit overpriced, next time I will stay in a nearby hotel and just visit the city.

The hotel is in the center of Heviz, which is a wonderful place "to take the waters" but not much to do for those who do not. According to the nice young lady at front desk it was built in 2000 but the architecture and furnishing appears to be more from the 70's. The famous Heviz thermal lake supplies the water for the pools and there are treatments available along with the use of saunas and steam rooms.
Dinner and breakfast served at buffet style, good and plentiful, the staff is always helpful.
I would recommend the hotel -and Heviz- for anybody wishing to take a cure, the water is supposed to be very good for all kinds of ailments - but if that's not what you are after you'd have a better time at the nearby Keszthely or around the lake Balaton some 20 miles away.
