We had a wonderful time on Block Island. The hotel was very nice. My only complaint was our room. The room smelled very musty which made our clothing and the bedding damp. We didn't complain to switch rooms as we were only there for one night. In hind-sight we should have because the bed and pillows were very damp to sleep on. Would definitely come back to this hotel, just a different room. I love the location and car service at Champlins.

Overall nice hotel, we didn’t get a chance to use the many amenities due to weather but we enjoyed our quiet getaway.

Had a great time as usual! Rafi was pleasant and helpful with suggestions to explore the island! Be back soon!

I booked here on a whim for a couples getaway and was so impressed. We loved our room, the view, the entertainment for adults ie the dock bar and pool bar. I definitely would steer clear in busier mos if lots of children everywhere isn’t your thing bc it is very family friendly (but we visited early June before school is out.) they have a little playground, an ice cream shop, games etc. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

I did not like that I had to walk to the office for ice. I did not like the ~ 200 foot walk down a hill to get coffee before returning to my room. Everything else was fantastic!

We had a strange circumstance that caused us to need 2 rooms on Block Island . It was last minute and we didn't know how long we would be there but Ivy and the staff could not have been more accomodating, informative and flexible. We can't say enough how wonderful the whole crazy experience was.

Got to our room. got settled after we walked 2 miles. Went out to the balcony to sit in the chair, as I sat down, the seat went down to the floor, it was broken. Could have really gotten hurt. My husband had to help me out of the chair. No dining to speak of, except a boutique dining area, with micro waved food.

Front desk was really helpful. We got there 10:30am, we had to attend wedding at 12pm. She managed to get us room and checked in early so we could get ready. We really appreciate it!

Wow we come to Block every year and have never stayed here before. I read some of the reviews and was a little nervous. I’m so glad I chose to make my own opinion and boy do I have one. We got there early and were planning on leaving our things. Our room was ready and we were so excited. Our room was above the pool nice king bed. Decorated very nice with a nautical theme and everything looked new. Great bathroom and great tv. We didn’t even know about the shuttle until we got to the resort. Everyone was so friendly. Loved the pool and bar and the mudslides. The bar at the end of the marina was so fun. For dinner we took the path to the blue Oar. In the morning we paddle boarded. Everything and everyone was so nice. We can’t wait to come back next year.

This was our 1st visit to Block Island, we enjoyed our stay. I would have liked to have a coffee maker in the room. We will return.

Stayed in 209, the public access door slammed all early morning from either staff or customers. Kids running laps till late hours all around the outer deck slamming their feet. the HVAC was a nightmare, so loud kept us up all night. front desk had no ice. Way too expensive for this tiny room per night.

We loved the complimentary shuttle service to town. In the event that you need a taxi, you can easily get one. We also took advantage of the bikes that the resort allows you to use free of charge. It was a great way to see the island!!

For being listed as a 'resort,' it did not feel like one. The hotel room was adequate but gave more of a motel room feel. The dresser drawers were almost impossible to open & close. The maid gave us new towels but did not clean the toilet. The TV got only 5 channels & the reception was fuzzy.
Skip the restaurant! What was listed as 'crostini' on the menu was half a piece of sandwich bread with the crust cut off, toasted on only 1 side. The sauce on the pasta dish was clearly from a jar. The crab cakes were good but when I asked for more sauce, the server brought the wrong one. She clearly had no idea what I wanted.
The pool was empty when we arrived, & only got filled the day we left so we were unable to use it.

I made a $545 expensive reservation to this hotel to celebrate my birthday. I went to obtain quiet and quality time away. I instead received bad customer service from front desk, had reserved to obtain a view and balcony and instead was placed on a room above the bar kitchen where you can hear the music play all day past 9pm. No view in the room only a side window that viewed to parking lot and the pool was closed all day. At 530am I got woken up by a shake in the room assume kitchen equipment. I was out of there 7am not returning here again.

Had a lovely few days at the resort. First time on Block Island and would look forward to going again.

The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and neat. The free shuttle to Old Harbor was a real plus! The hotel should have a coffee pot in the room or at least in the lobby, and also offer a continental breakfast. It was inconvenient to go to the cafe on property and pay for grab and go options. The restaurant on property had little options, no dinner rolls or bread available with dinners, and no dessert menu. It was in an inconvenient location and hard to find where to enter the restaurant. Also, it was inconvenient to have to make reservations when you’re a guest at their hotel.

We would never stay there again They don't accommodate there guests very well at 600.00 + per night ! We booked a Oceanview room when we arrived the front desk clerk just laughed. and told we don't have any ocean front rooms available. there restaurant was not great although the server Sophia was very good as she was the only server there.

I visited Champlins with my teenage daughter for 3 day weekend and we had an amazing time. Pool was beautiful and we really enjoyed taking the kayaks and peddler boat out for spin around cove. Plus, the Mudslides did not disappoint! Staff was so friendly and helpful- can’t wait to go back.

Block Island is a magical place and Champlin Marina and Resort makes it accessible to regular folks and offers clean, super comfortable ample accommodations and responsive friendly service. A coffee/tea/cocoa maker in the room would be awesome. Everything else was just perfect! Thank you!

Great view of the water. Enjoyed the amenities! Staffs are super nice and patient.

The Staff was exceptional!! Loreen, Swan, Patty, Luke, and Elba friendly accommodated our many requests for special
drinks, dessert, dinner, and even instructions and scoring on Corn Hole!. If it hadn't been as windy, we would have really enjoyed taking out the Kayaks! So much to do and enjoy!
The remodeled rooms were bright and clean. The king
size bed was particularly comfortable!
The setting was absolutely beautiful and nicely tucked away from downtown ferry area. Though one could walk to town or take the shuttle bus.
Already looking forward to returning!

This is a great property! Updated, yet true to Block Island heritage. I hesitate to call them staff, because the people who work here feel more like friends. They embody the term hospitality! Take an early morning yoga class or enjoy an A other waterfront activity with Jen, or enjoy a Champlin’s Mudslide at the other Jen’s bar on the docks until 1am. Don’t forget to see Swan in the cafe for coffee or to hear about her service in the US Military and her plans for the future!
I am so happy I decided to spend my 50th birthday at Champlin’s! I will be back!!!
