The wife and I stayed here for Thanksgiving 2024. It was our first time staying here in this historic hotel. The lobby, and walk ways are beautiful in decor. The bar and restaurant are really nice and friendly. The food was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would recommend is having someone guide you to the building you're staying in or add some signs to the place to help explain where to go. If you're never been to this place the layout can be confusing at first.

I have stayed here before. Very enjoyable. Location in town is great for walking around enjoying the sites. Friendly staff and food is good. I would recommend this location for your family or a romantic weekend getaway.

We chose to stay at the Rosarito Beach Hotel because of its historical reputation, but it was an enormous disappointment. The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable—you could actually feel the wooden frame beneath because the springs were so worn out. It felt like sleeping on a pile of scrap materials. Worse still, the sheets were visibly unclean, and we had to go out of our way to request fresh ones from room service, which is completely unacceptable.
The bathroom was another nightmare. The shower lacked proper ventilation, causing the steam to condense on the walls and drip a revolting, yellowish substance. It was beyond unsettling and made us question the overall cleanliness of the place.
The entire room felt depressingly outdated, with décor and furnishings that seemed stuck in a bygone era—but not in a charming way. Instead, it screamed neglect and poor upkeep. The Coronado Tower, in particular, is in dire need of a complete renovation. For the price we paid, the experience was akin to staying at a low-budget motel, and even Motel 6 might offer better quality. This hotel is living off its past reputation, but it’s obvious that the glory days are long gone. Don’t waste your money here.

It was such a great stay and beautiful views! I just wish the pool was not under construction. We were not able to use the pool during our stay even though there was another pool available it was too full to enjoy probably because the other pool was under construction. Other than that we had a great stay and loved the happy hour special!

The stay was a stay, but the check-in process and the threat of additional fees for not wearing a wristband did not agree with me, as I was only utilizing the hotel as a place to lay my head, not my destination. The room was old, and there was rust on the door frames. I stayed in the Coronado building, room 114, which did have a nice view and easy access, but I would not recommend the hotel, especially for the price.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby area, the restaurant/ bar were nice. The pool areas were also beautiful, not to mention the ocean view, but to me the rooms really need attention. Our curtains had holes, the slider door was very hard to open and close. Replace whatever needs to and it will feel better. I feel that even though they can’t control everybody’s actions they need to keep up with their rules, they have a sign that says “quiet time is from 10pm to 6am.. there was people being very loud, saying bad words, rolling their luggage over the tile floor in the hallway and not to mention music in the middle of the night and no one did anything about it. That’s very little consideration for others. That’s the reasons for my low scores.
