The hotel is dishonest. They gave the hotel room is not livable and won’t change until next day. Very disappointing!

Great location near promenade, river, and main Interlaken streets. Staff was friendly, informative, and let us store our luggage when we arrived early before check in and when we left later after check out. Breakfast was so so for the price, I preferred the coffee shop a minute away. We had the balcony room at the front and had a great view of the mountains in both directions (if the weather is clear). Only downside was a portable AC unit, opening windows was more effective but made it loud, and the room was small all around.

While the room did have AC, it was very tiny for 3 adults, was outdated, the water pressure in the shower meant we couldn’t wash our hair and the beds were very very soft/worn and uncomfortable. It felt more like a backpackers hotel and would have expected the pricing to match that. The staff were kind but overall would not stay again.

The location was great - 2 minutes to the bus and in between both train stations. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff doesn't arrive until 3pm so when we arrived early we were not able to store our luggage - however, the attached Chinese restaurant kindly let us keep our luggage in the corner at our own risk.

The architecture of the building is beautiful considering it was built in 1890s, but the interior needs to be updated to reflect a more contemporary functionality as the current one is very rudimentary. I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends and family.

AVOID AT ALL COST. I can go on and on about how HORRENDOUS this place is in just one night of stay.
1. It said Queen bed but it’s more like a twin. The room is small, bathroom is tiny, the drain is not working, and there’s no AC other than a drain fan. Even the vent tube was detached. The room is not very clean - there are hairs on the floor when we got in. Overall the room is like a prison.

She told us if we don’t get out the room at 11:30 they are charging us late fees. We got to the front desk at 11:29 and they said “the clock hit 11:30” and they “need to charge 100 CHF late fee.” No one informed us about this late fee when we book the reservation or check in, they ONLY tell us “the check out time is 11:00”, the late fee is not on any terms and conditions, and they cannot find the evidence or clear terms and conditions when I asked for it. We just want to know where this late fee is coming from, and as a customer, it’s not a lot to ask if this is not agreed upon before agreement in ANY shape or form. Their head of housekeeping keeps cussing us and keep telling us we should pay no matter what.
Again, to everyone around the world who trying to come to Interlaken, please AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST. All these one stars are for a reason.

Do not book! Certainly one of the worst hotel service I have ever experienced. We ordered a room with 3 beds. When we arrived in the room (around 8pm), we found the bed in the middle had a much lower mattress than the other two beds on each side. It was half the thickness of the other two, with a clumpy blanket on top of it as the over-mattress. It was not comfortable at all. We then called the reception (a the lady in her 30s) to help us change it, for example to the same as the other two beds. But she said she was alone in the reception and could not do anything to help. We then called the number listed on the hotel webpage, but it was picked up by the same lady. She then said this was a private phone number and we were not supposed to call her this late! Does it mean all guests that arrive late in the evening will not have service at all? We then asked if she could have someone help us and she said it was not urgent and she could do nothing. It just seemed she did not care at all. Certainly we did not sleep well that night. And at breakfast next morning when we asked the reception lady if they have lactose free milk is available, she said “No” in a very rude and desrespectful way. We felt the hotel was hardly even trying to help meet their guests´ basic needs…

Hotel Harder Minerva is located close to the Main Street in Interlaken West. It’s within minutes walk from the Bahnhofplatz, parks and more. From our room we could see para gliders drifting down from the mountains. It was great to be in a town centre but still feel at rest because we were surrounded by greenery. Breakfast was sufficient each morning and if one chooses not to go out in town for dinner, there is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor.

The showers are full of disgusting mold, the mattress is extremely old, is should not be called a hotel in the first a place, the room had literally one beat up chair and you have to sit, sleep and eat (if you must) on the bed, we asked for an iron which they don’t have!
Spent couple more dollar and get elsewhere with better cleanliness and a management that cares of the customers!

First of all, the room I stayed couldn't be locked from inside, it was incredible. Of course I told about that to the staff but he just said, "okay, we will fix tommorow, good to know that." -What? He didn't change my room even though it was not safe at all!! Also, when I asked them to keep my laggage during my hiking, they put that in the launge without any tags, no one kept an eye on the laggage though. So i picked up my bag earlier than scheduled and put them to the station locker. They should refund me because they didn't provide what thet should.
One good point was the location is very close to the paragliding center and super market.
In the future, even if someone gave me money and asked to stay this hotel, I definitely would not do that.
