We stayed for 6 days and every day the breakfast service was terrible. The buffet was not replenished and items were missing (water, coffee, pastries, bread, fruit) as you can see from the photos taken around 8am (mid service).
When I asked for water I was told they only provide one large bottle and it was all gone. I insisted I wanted water and was told to wait there. Took 10 minutes to come.
Eggs orders took 10-25 minutes to arrive. All floor staff bar one were rude. No eye contact, no greeting, no smiles. We felt they resented us for being there.
Quality of food at restaurant was below average (example: catch of the day was frozen fish).
Waited at the bar for a bottle of beer for 25 minutes (only 3 people ahead of me).
Only friendly floor staff member is Varinosece.
WIFI available only at lobby, pool and restaurant, not in rooms. On Sunday the system was down at the restaurant and pool. IT guy was on his day off, so this was only fixed on Monday.
Lobby staff were very friendly, especially Tiger.
House keeping staff were very friendly, however mid stay they ran out of towels and took a few hours to get new towels.
The state of the place is run down and tired. In need of renovation.
We spoke to a few other guests and they felt the same.
We ended up walking 40 minutes to the supermarket and bought food to avoid eating at the restaurant.
We are not sure the staff work conditions, but they are clearly very unhappy.
Very disappointing. We will not come back.

The property is run down resort, with nice setting in tropicsl greeneey on the positive side. However there is lot of garbage (pet bottles in the greenery), cigarette butts in front of the bures, stray dogs and cats, the swimming pool with murky water.
Breakfast choice limited (no bananas, no vegetables). Security is also an issue (one day I returned to the room to find my in-room safe was open). It is questionable if it is worth the distance from the Nadi airport (1,5 hrs), especially when the sea here is not swimmable - there is huge tide difference btw low and high. During low tide you have to walk a kilometer to get to the sea. Bures are spacious and equipped with AC/fan/kettle and fridge. However, it is not even worth the low price (comparable to upscale resorts closer to the Nadi airport). I would not choose this resort again. I booked for three nights and had to find other place to feel more relaxed and safe.

The Hideaway is a hidden gem! We stayed at both beach front bure#49(mini villa) and the beach front villa#303 during our recent stay. The resort is in a seed area, well kept, you are greeted upon arrival w/ a welcome punch and a drum roll, staff are very welcoming and warm. It does provide shuttle service to and from airport with a surcharge. They offer laundry service w/a fee, cook to order breakfast with a fee along w/continental spread, lunch, dinner, and bar service. They have resort activities and performance and served toasted coconut sampler at 2:30pm everyday and have a waterslide for adults and kids. Rooms are very basics and outdated. However, the breathless view of the pacific water hitting the seawall is priceless/compensates for the outdated decor. You literally can swim in the ocean less than 20ft away from your front door. Other resorts claim beach front, but what they don't tell you is you may have to walk 10-15 mins to get to the beach. They have daily housekeeping and 3 restaurants that serves decent food. They also have daily menu to choose from. They have an ice cream parlor which opens daily. All staff in the Hideaway are amazing, but special shout outs to Vole,Sweeny,Solome,Silo, Hilary, Etta, Arietta S.,Frances,Dan,Mare Wai. If you are a pet lover, beware! The resort banned guests from feeding the strays which they are also the sweetest cats and dogs around. Just like any tropical places, expect lizards, frogs, mosquitos, roaches, and other bugs.

Stayed for a week. A good mid-range place for a quiet week. Excellent complimentary breakfast, nice pool, big rooms, and fantastic sunsets.

Very comfortable and the room was large. It's a 3 and half star resort, so we knew it wasn't going to be super ritzy. We were very pleased all round.

This is a 3 star resort so cant be compared to 5 star resorts like some have in the reviews.
We have just stayed for 7 nights and it was amazing and was sad to go.
We basically stayed at the resort the whole time as there was heaps to do as well as relax.
We had several massages at the day spa which was great and realy impressed with the effort the staff went to for my hisband needing gluten-free options which we had advused thwm about before we arrived.
The best thing without a doubt is the staff. They were all so friendly and funny. Having the local village exoerience right next door you actually got to feel and experience real fiji which you dont in the likes of Denarau.
Will come back

Staff were nice and friendly. Nature around the hotel was beautiful.
But other than that, I did not really like anything else. Breakfast offer was poor, we had snts and lizards in our room, resort properties were not maintained at all, activities organised by the hotel were very basic and lasted for 5-10 minutes only.

Loved our recent 7 night stay at hideaway! Vinaka to all the staff!
Yes some areas could do with a refresh but overall was perfectly usable and enjoyable. The staff were amazing! Got the relaxing massage and facial which were great. Wish had time for more :) - our eight year old loved the slide and the pool. Snorkelling just off the beach we saw heaps of fish in crystal waters. Managed to get taxis and transfers into Singatoka and beyond when needed without a problem. A bit far from Nadi Airport when we had an early flight back but Tour Managers who run the tour desk were extremely efficient with both transfers and tour bookings. The 24 hour reception was also a bonus. Overall loved our stay although next time would try the beachside burre I think :)

Fantastic snorkelling right in front of the resort, food was excellent and activities available were great but what truely makes this experience is the exceptional staff and the relationships you build with them during your time there.
We didn’t do any tours but there is a tour desk open every day to help you choose and book tours outside the resort.

Staff are wonderful and very polite. Ocean safe to snorkel or swim. Menu needs to vary and not repeat itself. Pizzas should have a gluten free option so it can be shared. Very relaxing.

Bathroom in the room smelled like piss and sewer smell around the property, even when sitting at the bar we could smell sewer.
No TVs in the room , dirty pool area,
Booked this place for 3 nights however we just stayed for 1 night and the next morning we checked out to another resort in Nadi.
They didnt refund us our 2 days of booking, and expedia really did nothing to help us with getting the refund..I called and explaned them the situation and they said Hideaway will not refund the money, so we just lost the 2 days of payment that was made online.
Never again i will go to this resort and will not recommend to anyone either.
Breakfast choices were very limited and we had to wait at least 30minutes before they could come and take our order for fried eggs...!
Please read other reviews as well prior to booking..! Dont waste your hard earned money on this resort ..

The place needs a little bit of love. There was a lot of things out of order or needing repair. Lots of areas needed a good clean. The food was very average and service was either great or awful. The room itself, was ok, the phone didn’t work, it was noisey at night (you could hear the trucks going down the highway). They did clean the room daily. We didn’t get to do many water activities as the weather was super windy or they just weren’t running the boat etc.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
