Very nice updated motel with lovely, accommodating hosts. Beautiful view of the Lake from our room with outdoor balcony, too. Cute igloos are available with heaters for four to sit “ outside” and enjoy the day or evening. There is a restaurant but we did not eat there. We pull come back here again.

The hotel was so tastefully renovated and it offered nice amenities. The Owners were especially thoughtful in providing a private space for our extended family and friends to gather and they were kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.

Check in was a breeze & the renovated room was nice & spacious. The view of the lake was amazing! We had breakfast at the on site restaurant both mornings & the service & food was excellent. Highly recommend the homemade sausage gravy!
Improvements-
The tv wasn’t a smart tv which would be preferred to access Netflix, etc. & there was no fan in the bathroom. The parking lot could use some repairs. There was hardly any guests which was quiet but on our 2nd night guests were put in the room between us & another room although there were many other rooms available. The guests were extremely loud. There didn't seem to be much sound proofing between units. Otherwise, the stay was great.

This place is right on Seneca Lake. The rooms have balconies that overlook the lake and it’s a beautiful view. It’s conveniently located close to shops, restaurants, and wineries.

The staff at the front desk and I. The restaurant were super friendly and understanding. The food was ok. It was nice to have something on campus after a long drive.
You’re given a map and I didn’t read closely and took the word “hotel” wrong. I had even messaged ahead of time to be “close to the elevator/lobby due to traveling alone with a little one and having plenty of stuff. This is a recently renovated motel.
My first impression unfortunately was not great as I arrived at night. They do give you a helpful map, but you have to go down a dark hill and it’s off a fairly busy highway. Everything was very dark and I was unusually nervous about the surroundings because my room’s back door was unlatched (I checked all 3) and it had a wobbly deadbolt once I did lock it, and I was traveling alone with a small child. It was so dark, I didn’t realize there was a drop off there, so chance of someone getting in was quite low, thankfully.
The one bed didn’t have a top sheet under the duvet, which was likely and oversight, so I chose the other one. Rooms don’t have phones so you can’t call the front desk which was frustrating. Good number of pillows, relatively comfortable bed, new fridge for milk, snacks etc. Fell asleep after settling down around 2am.
Bathroom was recently upgraded. Relatively clean. Average-pricey for what you get, but I know it’s peak season and come morning, I did appreciate the beautiful view. I felt better once I woke up, but it was time to leave.

The room was small but comfortable, the bathroom had no exhaust fan so when taking a shower everything became wet from condensation. Great view of Seneca Lake but it was way over priced.

Location is so amazing over-looking Lake Seneca and just less than 5 minutes drive from downtown. Room clean and with everything you need (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron). Staff Glenna and Haley so accommodating and courteous. Will definitely stay here the next time we come back. Highly recommended for everybody

The Hotel Laurel on Seneca lake was an absolute treat! We were in town for the annual Classic Grand Prix weekend, so the location of The Hotel Laurel was ideal.
The RECEPTIONIST at check in was so pleasant, and had all necessary paperwork printed out and ready for us. She provided a map of the hotel grounds, as there are several buildings containing rooms, all with lake views. She also provided a list of breakfast restaurants in the area, since their restaurant/grill is not open for breakfast.
The refurbished ROOM was clean, nicely decorated and we scored a room with a private balcony, (all the rooms have lake view balconies, but not all have privacy barriers). The shower was nicely powerful, the sink water drinkable (not the case with the other Watkin’s Glen hotels we’ve stayed at over the years). The room has a fridge and micro, large counter, table and seating, large tv, nicely firm mattress, A/C and plenty of pillows, plus an extra.
The RESTAURANT was a delight. Full bar and a custom mixed drinks menu to start. The grill menu has interesting apps and entrees, the food was great - menu is online. TYLER was our server and he was attentive, friendly and careful to ascertain our desired speed of enjoying our cocktails and meal. He did not rush us through cocktails, apps or the meal at all, yet didn’t keep us waiting for the check when we were done.
We will happily be staying and dining at The Hotel Laurel during all of our Watkin’s Glen events from now on!

GM was very accommodating. Restaurant staff was wonderful. Restaurant could be open later. Shower design was odd (only 1/2 panel) leading to wet floor. Bathroom was small. Deck with firepits was awesome.

The sheets weren't cleaned properly. There was what looked like a small blood stain on the comforter. We didn't use it. Luckily it wasn't cold.

Beautiful view overlooking lake Seneka! Great dinner with a perfect view of the lake. The rooms each had a lovely balcony overlooking the water. Room was comfortable and enjoyed my stay!

We loved the view and the community deck. The rooms are supposedly upgraded. They need more. A person can’t even sit on the toilet comfortably as it is right up against the wall and the seat is falling off. When we asked after 2 days to have our room made up, they didn’t change the sheets. The ice machine and garbage are a hike up a steep hill as is the restaurant. Not worth the price. The restaurant was okay & nice to have there but limited hours.

Had a lovely stay for a few nights at this hotel, the direct view over the lake was a gorgeous way to begin and end a day. Rooms were nice and clean, bathroom was super nice though the door in our unit was tough to close. A bar and restaurant was available at the hotel location, though we did not use it the option was nice to have.
Only real con was the walls, which were quite thin, we could hear the conversations at the neighbors the night we had people next door. Otherwise it was a very, very nice stay.

We really enjoyed the view of the lake from the balcony. The parking was nice as you could park right in front of your door to unload everything. This was convenient since we were on the second level with a balcony. No stairs came into play.

The building with the rooms sits below the road, making it quiet and providing a lovely view of the lake from your window and balcony. The carpet, furniture, mattresses and furniture are all brand new and the beds were very comfortable. Large TV, lots of drawer storage, and a larger mini-fridge. Although the bathroom was small, the new fixtures were high quality. The restaurant is new also so it has a limited menu and days open, but the view is great and the food, drinks, and service were excellent. We stayed 3 nights in Mid-August and enjoyed our stay.
