The only minor issue was the bathroom had no towel bars which they said thank you for pointing out and they would fix right away. Everything else was excellent and I think that was just an oversight after recent renovations. Everything seems fresh and new.

The hotel is right on the roadside, but it's not noisy at night and I slept well.

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, location is beautiful just off Davis Bay beach. The room itself had some issues -
-The hot water wasn't working that well.
-The hand soap was super watered down like they needed to replace the bottle.
-There were tons of bugs in our room despite having screens on windows (2x beatles, spider and a very load cricket).
-There was only a sheet and thin blanket for a cover which would be fine in the heat of Summer but it was quite cold for the end of August and no other blankets in the room.
For the price I would have expected a little bit better but if you are out and abotu exploring the area it's fine place to rest your head.

Overall, if you need a place to stay. It’s not terrible but I will not be choosing this place in the future.
They neglected to tell me they would put a hold on my funds for a damage deposit because I didn’t have a credit card. When questioned about the pricing jacked for my stay but became cheaper due to fall season they came with excuses. I was blocked from my parking and suite and they wouldn’t do anything about it. Yes the suites are renovated but very cheaply. The floors were pre existing terribly scratched and you can’t use the shower without getting water everywhere. They’ll try win your heart with ice cream instead. The walls are super thin so you can hear your next door neighbour simply walking. Upside is you walk out and your view is the ocean, unless they stick you in the back like us. Overall wasn’t worth the pricing and I’d only stay here if I had to. There is worse places out there.

Superficially renovated very poor comfort. The air conditioner was broken and there were no screens on the windows so we could not leave them open the bugs come in. Cost is very expensive, so we expected more, and when I called the following day, they told me they would get back to me with a discount and never did

Overall the motel was not terrible but there a few things that stuck out. When checking in they said free Icecream bar 7pm and there was a picture that looked awesome. but when we went back there was no bar it whack off brand popsicles that tasted bad. Really bad.
Then our room stank like bleach really strong and the floor was really scratched up and bad condition.
The grounds of the motel were also kinda dirty with trash all around.
TO be fair I am very picky about beds. But the bed was too soft and it slumped in the middle. also it was on wheels so it slides around. I didn't sleep well at all.
These things are pretty serious for me and will make me not want to go back.
But to be fair there were some strong positives. The view is stunning. And staff were friendly.
Upon check out they gave us a bag of cookies and treats. That was nice.

Our shower backed up twice in less than 3 hours, we weren't even in the room. The room we were finally changed to was hugely less than what we paid for. We were offered $30 discount..finally 2 days later we were able to ralk to the manager and were able to fight for $100 discount for our inconvenience . We should have been fully refunded!
