The washrooms didn’t have pressure pumps so showers were slow. Hand shower in WC was useless as it was dead slow

It is rare for a hotel to be almost perfect, at least for us. From arriving we were warmly greeted, the room had a huge terrace and we were allowed to check in early which brilliant. Pool was so warm like a bath, lots of nice sun beds and swings and swinging baskets for relaxing and photos. Beach beautiful white sand, staff so nice, breakfast yummy!! I can only say room service was disappointing and could be improved but the restaurant food was amazing. Of course there is the construction next door which is loud and dusty, and the other guests were not all the best to be around, but I was really surprised and happy to stay at the RAK intercontinental.

Roomboy Sudi, I never had so friendly service!
Even Margret, Fred or Ali very friendly staff.
They made my stay almost to a perfect holidaytrip
One bad point: breakfast. I used only one time, it is very bad. I paid a lot of money and when I arrived breakfast area they want give me a table on the corridor. Area was overcrowded. I really couldn’t. believe and was disappointed Food was bad quality.
Even I paid, I didn’t go a second time. Very pity for a 5 star hotel.

stayed from 22 - 24 July as a staycation taking the Club Access room.
The Amazing Staff:
Jessica, Shanu and Saurav at Club Lounge were superb.
Qattan at Levant & Nar was super helpful and courteous.
Room:
Great size - nicely decorated overlooking the sea.
Kids & Teens Club:
Absolutely amazing!
Ambiance:
Very family and child friendly.
Breakfast & Club House food:
The breakfast came with a lot of options at Saffar, enjoyed it. Club house high tea was excellent, the cocktails were all right.
The negatives:
1. I was double charged - I paid the hotel website and then my card was fully charged at the property at 2 am in the night. Luckily saw the sms and took an inconvenient 10 mins to resolve it. On that note - the amount held on my card for security deposit is still pending to be returned and I do hope that resolves without me having to follow up.
2. Room service: Took longer than desired. Twice we requested for milk for our little daughter that literally did not come.
3. Sha Sha: Nicely designed restaurant pool bar. It took them over 35 minutes to get me a salad to the point I cancelled it, as my family had finished and jumped in the pool already. Unacceptable.
Summary: its a great hotel, the staff is pleasant and very hospitable. There are a few service challenges as narrated above which I sincerely hope they improve on as had those episodes not happened, this review would have been a 5 out of 5.

My girlfriend and I were visiting the Intercontinental and both of us were overwhelmed.
Incomparable service, super delicious food in every of the various restaurants and the quality of the whole hotel complex is incredible.
I am not the person to visit a hotel twice but here I would definitely make an exception.
We’re from Dubai/Switzerland and will choose the Intercontinental when visiting Ras Al Khaimah again.
