The view is gorgeous, you can see the ocean at Copacabana right from our window, less than 1/2 a block away. Bed was 3 out of 5 in comfort. No extra pillows or covers. The sofa bed was less comfortable, max of 2 out of 5. We asked for a mattress for the sofa bed and extra sheets and covers and they did supply that. And it made the sofa bed a 3 of 5. Lol. It's meant for small children, it would be very hard to feet 2 children bigger than 50 lbs. Our 13 year old, about 110lbs, had just enough room to fit in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. It has zero condiments. No salt, no sugar, no oil, coffee pot but no filters, no ice maker, no ice trays. Bathroom was good. Hot/cold water, with an electric water heater so you never run out of hot water, unless the electricity goes out. Which happened once, Shower is roomy, 2 adults can fit ok. Racks to hang wet clothes and towels, but it's small, will need to remove clothes daily or there's no room to hang towels. Buy extra toilet paper, you get 2 rolls, that's it. The rest is on you. The location is very good. Close to the other main beaches, Ipanema and Leblon, but you may spend more time in Copacabana since its across the street and there's more people and more traffic and more food/drink spots there. A taxi from Copa to Ipanema cost less than 20 reales, or about 4-5 dollars. From the apartment to any other spot in Rio like Cristo Redentor, Steps of Seleron, Sugar loaf mountain, etc, expect to spend 40-80 reales or about 10-20 dollars. And it can take over 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The bldn security was very good, with friendly and helpful staff. But they are security for the blnd, not for you, so keep that in mind. Any individual apartment issue should go to leasing office, which it's located in the bldn. Check in is after 3pm. They will ask for 450 reales in cash, which is 150 reales for cleaning fee and non-refundable. And 300 reales for a deposit in case of any damage. Which in my opinion it's better than having to put up a credit card. Check out is at 11am sharp, at which point someone will come in and inspect everything very quickly and give you your deposit in cash right back. You can leave your luggage with the leasing office until 6pm, in case your flight leaves later and you want to see or do more things around Rio. I consider my review fair and hope it helps you make an informed decision. I won't be back to this rental.

Not a bad apartment but a lot smaller than the photos make you believe. It’s in a secure block so you can’t bring friends in as you need to use fingerprint recognition to enter. Really good location and good equipment as mentioned.
