Great position for central Guildford, friendly helpful service and spacious rooms , hotel food and breakfast was excellent , would certainly go back

The hotel room was clean itself but looked on one of the lampshades there was some very unpleasant stains on it to say the least. The beds was very comfy along with the pillows and place felt clean overall. Also maybe a few less scratches on the wall, could maybe do with a lick of paint.
Also there was a music event on till 1am and they gave us 1 extra hour on checkout which wasn’t really needed.

This time was an exception , I was not happy with the service . The staff need to learn to be more friendly and more welcoming specially in the morning…

Very comfortable though the black bathroom was a bit odd. Very friendly reception staff and good breakfast

Whenever we are in Guildford, we stay at the Habour and have always been very pleased. It is consistently clean and comfortable, with generous breakfasts and the staff are delightful. Particular mention goes to Khush on reception and Egzonn in the restaurant. Great ambassadors of the company. Thank you for your welcome, your care and your smiles!
The only thing which prevented an excellent rating this time was that the heating in the bedroom (158) was very slow to respond.

Public areas were impressive & enjoyable. The rooms, on the other hand, was tired dimly lit, and had minimal facilities. Staff were either excellent or not interested. Overall, not worth the price paid. Wish I’d stayed at the Mandolay for £50 less.

Hotel seemed very nice however I found the bed very firm which for me was uncomfortable as I like a medium mattress. Was surprised to find I’d have to pay £10 per hour to use the spa facilities. Good job they didn’t try to charge me to use the bar or restaurant as other usual facilities !

We could not turn on the shower as it was broken. Staff at check out were ambivalent. Car park spaces are very tight.

The communal spaces are nice - gym, restaurants etc - but my room was poor and pretty tired. The decor was very old, the plumbing was noisy, the aircon was loud, the fridge woke me up when it started whining and the bed was very firm.

I was able to check in early which was unexpected. Front desk member of staff was lovely and room was good size. There was a wide range of breakfast options and hotel is well located for the town centre's shops and restaurants.

Overall the hotel was good. The bed was comfy and the bathroom is well done. The food at breakfast time was decent, not just cheap stuff from a food wholesaler.
Downsides: my room - 139 - had a lot of noise from the entrance area, and lots of light all night from a big pendant in the lounge. Also, the room smelled of really strong cleaning chemicals.
Having said that, I would stay here again.

Loved our stay here. Convenient parking under hotel and because we booked hotels VIP made it free. Good location far enough from town to be quiet at night but close enough to walk into town. The bar attached to the hotel served great drinks. Next time would like to try the food

They charge £16/night for car park. The - car was dirty and flooded and felt creepy and unsafe ( you know the the creepy car parks in horror movies. Apart from it's proximity to Guildford town centre- I won't be staying again.

Ask for a quiet room during weekend stays, as the bar/restaurant can get noisy late at night. I was offered this option during check -in which was very much appreciated.

The spa and facilities in this hotel are very disappointing. The spa is advertised nice and clean and working. The hotel room is even more disappointing.

Hotel itself is nice but the rooms were a bit tatty and in need of an update. Check-in was slow. We arrived at 5pm and there was one member of staff on reception and a queue of 5 guests. Bar was nice.

Staff went above and beyond. Bar and restaurant had a lovely ambience and despite being a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable.
I ate the butter chicken curry for my evening meal and it was the best I have tasted.

Spa was amazing - lovely facilities and very quiet mid week. Restaurant food was great. The walls must be quite thin as we could hear every door closing but sounded like they were slamming! Aside from that, great service, thank you for a fab stay!
