Well located for visiting the ruins, just 10 minutes' walk from the station. The rail track runs close by, but didn't disturb much at all and we had a good night's sleep. Pre-check in via Whatsapp worked fine.
We had a very enjoyable evening meal (35€) at the villa and the breakfast buffet was also good.
The room was simple, but clean and comfortable. It would have been nice with coffee/tea-making facilities, given the distance to other cafes/restaurants.
Bathroom/shower was fine.
We didn't try the pool as we spent all day at the ruins, but the pool area seemed pleasant enough to relax in.
Our hosts were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, making this a very pleasant stay.
Recommended, especially if your focus is on visiting the archaeological site.

Villa Franca is a charming, family-run place that prioritizes delicious food and making guests feel welcome. It’s conveniently located just down the road from the Pompeii ruins, offering a safe and private atmosphere despite a few other travelers staying at the villa.
Our host was gracious and even sent us on our way with homemade sandwiches for the road the next day.
The dinner we pre-booked was incredible, and the rooms were clean where it mattered most. However, the mattress and pillows could use some updating. The villa is situated next to the train line, so it can be quite loud, but fortunately, the trains stop running overnight, though they do wake you up in the morning.
Overall, the experience felt authentic and pleasant, and I would recommend staying here!

We got this stay on our way to Pompeii and got a wonderful surprise. Don Domenico received us at the gate and from there we got show to our lovely rooms and headed to a great dinner. Lorena and Giuseppe took care of the meal and stay. Can't say enough about out stay in Pompeii. And the property is right beside the Pompeii ruins. 5 min walk to the main entrance.

Nice little place near Pompeii (maybe a 10min walk). Parking in the villa (thru secure gate). Nice pool to cool off after a long tiring day walking. Very good price. Will offer if you want dinner (for a fee) while you’re staying. The meal is a MUST! Best, most filling dinner we had our entire journey through Italy. Homemade and I thought the plates would never stop coming. It was all so delicious! Since dinner was just a few steps from our room , I didn’t even think to grab phone so I could take pictures of the food.

A real Gem located a stones throw from the ruins of Pompeii.
The room was very clean and spacious with Excellent aircon and an outside patio. Guiseppe and Lorena were very welcoming and upon arrival a free drink of your choice was offered (Peroni) They made you feel more like family than guests, always asking if everything was ok.
There's only a few rooms and plenty of Sun loungers around the beautifully clean pool area. Breakfast was buffet style and tables were arranged by the pool side which was lovely, the coffee is great and the breakfast would leave you full and ready for the day.
Other guests ate at the hotel, the portion sizes looked substantial.
If I was to try and find a negative it would be that the train track backed on to the bedroom and the trains which ran regularly and through the night vibrated through the room, I was also bitten many times by mosquitos which seam to be coming from the shower in the bathroom. These points wouldn't deter me staying there again, I loved it. See you again Guiseppe and Lorena x

Highly recommend staying here before a trip to Pompeii park. It’s walking distance from the park entrance and the train station. It’s run by a lovely family. We arrived late and starving from the Naples airport on the 1st night of our trip. We were worried about finding food becuase the small town looked pretty closed for the evening. The wife cooked us the most amazing meal. The courses just kept coming and coming (no menu) and she made sure we were well fed and had beer and wine for us. Breakfast the next morning was also good and we were able to store our bags while on the tour of Pompeii. Very friendly family and happy we were able to stay with them!

Well placed as a base to visit Pompeii ruins, Vesuvius, Sorrento and Naples. Train station only a 8 min walk - able to hear them from property but did not cause us an issue. Good clean basic accomodation and having a pool area for a dip and relaxing around was great. The optional evening meal is not to be missed - try it out at least once during a stay. Staff very friendly and approachable. Ensured we had breakfast very early on day of departure.

Just perfect. A Mum and daughter weekend. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived, nothing is to much trouble for this amazing couple.. Our room was clean and spacious. The dinner was insane.. Home cooked and so many dishes were brought out. Definitely eat here at least 1 night of your stay.
A pool to cool off in after 20k steps a day was just what I needed and with only a few mins walk, you are at the ruins and train station what more could you want. I will definitely be back for another visit..

I booked this for my daughter and her partner, and I was disheartened to hear that the conditions of the room was not up to scratch. It was too close to the train line, running from 5 am until 11:30 pm. The room was run down, mould in the bathroom, hair in soap dish, no pillow protectors. You can feel the mattress springs in your back. The room was dark and dingy, all in all very disappointing. The only positive was the location and the shuttle service.

Villa Franca is a quaint family run villa with a very private feeling. Even when sharing with other guests it's a family feeling as 7 rooms total. Good size pool and plenty of sun loungers considering the small number of rooms.
Good Mediterranean breakfast spread each morning and definitely recommend the Dinner option if you like big meals. Home made Italian food with typical multiple platters. 4 courses.
The family who run this villa are fantastic. They go out of thir way to ensure you have a great time. At the same time it's really relaxed. Drinks available throughout the day and you just settle up at the end of holiday.
The villa is close to the ruins of Pompei so it's an easy day out. Close by is a selection of shops and restaurants plus the station which makes trips to Napoli, Sorrento and the amalfi coast very easy.
There was only 1 negative - the trainline being so close. It didn't matter in the day as other noise like music and chatter are also there. However at night there were a couple of trains (it's not a busy track) which disturbed our sleep. Would advise packing some of the soft earplugs. We definitely will for our next visit. Would definitely go again because all the positive experiences far outweigh the train noise.

What a lovely family run Villa, wish we stayed more than one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable. So awesome to be able to get refreshed in the pool after a long day of travel. The owners were super friendly and helpful in giving information. There was even a cute cat that would come by to say hello. Breakfast was simple continental with fresh cappuccino. Would stay again.

Excellent location next to rail tracks where you can hop the train. The host accommodated our very late check in two hours after check in closed as we had various issues on the way there. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, can leave car there protected and walk to do Pompeii Ruins. Only issue is train is noisy late and early, but not middle of the night.

Great value for money. Recommend the homemade dinner option, it was delicious. Owners were very friendly.
This is not a Hilton or Marriott, it is an authentic family run motel/hotel.
Would stay again when visiting.
