Great Room, Great service. The Bed linen could be better. Polycotton is most unpleasant to sleep in. Bed could have been more comfy.

Lovely hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly.
We only stayed for one night but really couldn’t fault it at all.

This is a lovely hotel and one which seems to take excellent customer service seriously. The room was lovely - beautifully decorated and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was very good too, bur the show-stopper is the staff who are, without exception helpful, polite and willing to go the extra mile. The hotel is beautiful and the historic rooms in the building have been sensitively decorated to a very high standard.

Just a one night city break as had this one on our bucket list. It was all OK although the décor could do with an update. Many broken panes of glass, corridors etc need a refresh. Large stain on the bedroom floor. Lovely building but have stayed at much better places in Cornwall. OK for the price but probably won't be rushing back

Was allocated to room 11, keeps on hearing the squeaky door downstair. Probably it’s the staff entrance to kitchen. Due to its high traffic, the squeaky sound won’t stop until 11pm and got wake up 6:30 in the morning.
Understand that’s a hotel with history, the building is beautiful but it should be providing travelers with a good night’s sleep.
Breakfast is good, staff is friendly. Location is close to town which is a good choice to stay and explore Truro.

Room was great, evening food needs options at 5pm, more range on main meals in restaurant would be good.
Breakfast service was appalling, multiple tables asking for drinks and food as to where it was. I waited 8 mins to be asked what drink i would like and then a further 22 mins for anything to arrive

Absolutely nothing to complain about, and everything to compliment. Despite another event at the time of our stay we were given all the attention required. Breakfast was plentiful and we used the dining area for our evening meal which was served promptly and professionally. Our room was lovely, plenty of space and full of charm. Will stay again!

Beautiful building. Only a 10 minute walk from The Hall and 15 to the station. Lovely bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed. Appreciated the cafeteria in the room!

It’s a beautiful hotel and space. But they have none of the amenities that you would expect in a hotel like this. No children’s play corner, no gym, no sauna. These are things that we look for when we visit Truro. With the amount of space they have it would be easy to add one or two family amenities. Also the shower gel and shampoo bottles we almost empty and didn’t last for the two day trip

This is my second visit to the Alverton and it is as lovely as ever Amy, who was here on my last visit, is incredibly kind and helpful on the reception. The rooms are spacious and quiet.
