This hotel is a wooden cabin which has more of a hostel feel. It is far from Uvita’s centre and it’s hard to get a taxi or food delivery to the hotel. You need to go through a dirt road to get here. The breakfast was scarce and the rice reheated from the day before (I hope). The room felt humid even though the aircon was on. No wifi reached the bedroom. Expensive for the accommodations.
Having said that, the grounds and beautiful and staff was kind.

Nice pool. Nice grounds except piles of organic trash on all sides, behind the cottages.,
Needs a refrigerator for guests to keep fruits, etc.
No hot water. No milk.
No tea for tea drinkers. No possibility of getting a bit of extra fruit at breakfast. I was refused every time.,
Rustic but pleasant.

Clean rooms in a very nice garden with lots of beautiful flowers. It is about 800 m to the beach and note that the beach is within a National Park, hence it costs 6 USD per person to visit the closest beach. Otherwise it is 5 km to Playa Hermosa to get on the free beach.
During our stay there was no warm water in the shower and the breakfast was very basic (only scrambled eggs or pan cakes and coffee/tea.

The rooms are spacious and it's nice to have your own terrace. The place has a very homely and friendly feel, and the breakfast can be made vegan (and it's really good!). It's calm and peaceful, a bit like being in the jungle, hot, humid and the sounds of wildlife all around you, Macaws high up in the trees. A nice 1km walk along the road to Uvita beach. Wifi in the room wasn't great, but that didn't bother me, and the AC was quite noisy but that didn't bother me either, the ceiling fan was ok. All in all I really enjoyed my stay.

lovely little hotel with huge rooms, classy pool, nice garden, tranquility. unfortunately the access road is in poor condition (unpaved), but after that everything is fine!
the interiors of the self-contained units are large, unfortunately there is no heated water in the shower, the water temperature is the same as the outside temperature (so it is not cold but not hot) the staff is nice, the cleanliness is comfortable, the pool is very classy the garden is very beautiful! We met iguanas several times. There’s always something to renovate, but it’s not a luxury hotel with shimmering granite, you don’t get it here. There is a nice little private seat at the house code, like a "foyer" they may be a little close to each other, but you can also walk away in the garden, by the pool, if you wish. Overall, we didn't regret staying at this hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. All the staff was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The property is out of the way and very quiet with the sound of birds, monkeys, and distant roosters adding ambiance. The room was great and quiet, the showers are typical tropical showers, simple but plenty of water pressure. I plan on staying again.

Great property with huge gardens, lots of birds and wildlife.
Nice pool area as well.
I did not have a car, but I rented a bicycle for the week to get around as this property is a little more remote (which was great, it was quiet and peaceful!)
Staff were friendly and helpful, I would stay here again for sure!

The property is stunning, well manicured and teeming with jungle wildlife. Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, Green Parrots … all right overhead. The staff is welcoming and the food is decent. The pool, huge, 48ft (nit given justice in the pics) is functional but run down on the deck. Give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed if you are not looking for luxury.

When I arrived, the hotel manager/owner did not speak English but was able to explain that there was no room for me, and Expedia had mistakenly offered 50 rooms on expedia.ca - but he actually had not availability. He offered me a room in the DOG house ! for real. FORTUNATELY, I met a friend on the bus that brought me to Uvita, and he was able to secure me a room at his hostel. They had a last minute cancellation. I was in shock that I had called Expedia and paid $224 for 2night stay but was not able to check in. I am now waiting for my refund....
