Michael and his staff were amazing. Michael speaks great english, is super friendly, and gave plenty of local suggestions for food. Overall the hotel is beautiful. Rooms and bathroom gave shack vibes. Very outdated. Wasn’t what we expected after staying in Bali. The pool was beautiful.

Like many other properties this is typically ‘island shabby-chic’ if you know what I mean. These are typical wood cabins with the various creaks and small holes in places and lots of general maintenance issues associated with island properties which develop over time. We stayed in the large family accommodation which had two bedrooms and a living area which we didn’t really use and would be better as third bedroom.
The showers are shabby but work well in one at least, the pump was ineffective int he other but hot water available. Water did run out the last night which was mildly annoying and came through muddy for a while when back on - typical island challenges. The pool was ok but with tiles missing all over but safe and usable. The AC works, but worth being a couple cans of most spray as mosquitos do get in through the numerous holes and there are no bed nets. They weren’t a major issue but spray will help. Staff are really helpful as they have been left this property to mange as best they can, I would look to the owner to get things fixed though as at almost £1500 for 6 nights asking for non rusty taps, and unbroken shower footboards shouldn’t be hard. They only clean when you ask which is ok as it saves disturbing you, and there is no restaurant on site as advertised in pictures which is mildly annoying, however plenty of small eateries around the corner in the beach.
You will need to get a horse and cart from the ferry and bikes to get around which are 50k per day.

We stayed 2 nights here on Gili T. The hotel is a little hard to find if you walk and a little out of the way of the main shops/restaurants but very close to the beach. Beautiful hotel with very good breakfast. Staff and very nice and keen to help. They arranged for laundry pick up and drop off from hotel for us and often arranged rides into town for other guests.
