We had a lovely stay at the Neptune Palm with our teenage son, we found the room comfortable with all amenities to be very good. A bit of modernisation would be good but it was clean, the shower was good and the staff were more than happy to help with any requests we had.
The food standard & variety was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals. We would happily stay there again, but if we did we would take an iron with us as there are none available.
The 2 main negative points were the flies in the daytime, particularly in the restaurants and the hawkers on the beach pestering you to buy their goods or services making it impossible to sunbathe on the beach!

It's a great hotel. A little disappointed with the view out to the beach, which is what I had in mind.

Pros: The staff was very welcoming. Facility is Well maintained. Would be a great place for honeymooners. Rooms are beautifully done. Their sister hotel next door had more kids at the pool so also family friendly. The food was great, mainly Kenyan inspired. Patrick at the main bar was a great guy with a good attitude. A short taxi ride to several nice clubs. Reasonably priced excursions nearby.
Overall, very happy with the hotel.
Cons: The shower water pressure was close to none, very low. Parts of shower and bathroom wall was dirty. There was a curio/shops next to hotel with overly aggressive sales people. If you are not a local or from Kenya, beware of them and the prices.
If you get the all inclusive, be ready to get bottom of the line drinks. Anything else you pay extra which is pretty much standard in most all inclusive hotels around the world.

A very good experience with friendly and service minded staff. Beautiful beaches and good security. Food was average and could be improved since this is a 4 star hotel. Overall good value for money

We enjoyed our stay at Neptune. It was the slow season when we arrived (late June) and they only had their exclusive rooms open. After reading the reviews, I was under the impression that this would be a nicer area for a couple on their honeymoon. It was very nice and well kept. Staff was really nice and accommodating but there were groups of younger students staying above us and in the same part of the hotel. I was expecting this to be adults (couples) only based on the description. The food tasted fine but both my husband and I unfortunately got sick and decided to eat at other hotels during our stay (we are from the states so it definitely could have been sickness due to traveling and nothing to do with the actual food). I wish the beach was private as we were constantly harassed by the beach boys but that's common in all of Diani. The rooms were very clean and you can't beat the price we paid for an all-inclusive. Everyone who worked at Neptune was extremely kind and deserves recognition. The grounds keeper even provided us with fresh coconuts and flowers each morning. During our stay, each night, they left a basket of fruit and one night a bottle of wine since it was our honeymoon. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an all-inclusive!

Mixed feelings about this place. Good points:The location is great and the beach is very beautiful here. Lovely rooms and very nice pool area/bar. Top marks for these. Bad points: Food is below average at best for this rating of hotel. I was very disappointed - really glad i didn't stay for any more than 4 days because of this. If it was a 3 star hotel, I would say nothing, but it is rated higher. Also I find it INCREDIBLE that you would get a complimentary bottle of wine, and water (good point) in your room and then every night after the first you don't get water. When I asked reception they said to go to the bar and fill your empty bottle from the dispenser.!!!. The beds in this place are as very hard. Beware unless you are ok with this.
