Friendly, warm welcome from Martcha (spelling?) the receptionist. Great activities. Loved the cheetah encounter, bushman walk and game drive. The food was very good. The resident puppy and dog were entertaining. We had an excellent stay.

The watering hole was the main attraction. We observed many different animals.
The jacuzzi tub in our room did not work.
Road heading to the lodge was dirt and difficult travel for our car.

The lodge and bungalows are beautiful, probably the best we had during our entire 3 week trip in Namibia and we regret that we only had one night there to enjoy.
The grounds are very well maintained and their waterhole attracts plenty of animals (even rhino"s) that you can question if a game drive makes sense (we did one, but saw the same animals at the waterhole).
The encounter with the "tame" cheetahs that were raised on the lodge is amazing.
The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
While dinner was ok and the food tasted well, the buffet formula fell a bit short compared to the overall very high standards of the lodge. By the time we got to the dessert, little choice was left.
A buffet formula also does not work well for meat that is put "au bain marie" instead of being cooked to your personal preference.
On the other hand it allows more choice and you can eat as much as you want (as long as the buffet is replenished in time).
I don't want this comment to be interpreted as too negative but this is the only thing where we believe the lodge can still make an improvement in order to excel in everything they do.

We had a fabulous two night stay at Lapa Lang Game Lodge, and were fortunate to be upgraded as we were the only guests the day we arrived.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, and are a credit to the Lodge.
It’s location means there is nowhere else to eat, but the Lodge does not take advantage of this by overcharging. Instead the limited menu is excellent food at a reasonable price.
Would recommend Lapa Lang to anyone thinking of traveling to this part of Namibia.

We arrived about an hour before sunset and were pleasantly surprised to see a variety of game at the waterhole adjacent to the Lodge grounds. The highlight was 2 rhinos drinking very close-by. We were offered a welcome drink of apple juice which was most welcome after the drive on dusty roads. The accommodations were excellent on all counts. Dinners and breakfasts were excellent buffet meals served in the restaurant. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. We also did the Cheetah encounter and we found that to be an extraordinary and spectacular experience.

It was just GREAT to watch the wild animals from the room and from the jacussi, and the safari tour is worth the money.
Great food, very romantic if you dine outside, but cover your legs and arms for the insects.

we spent the last 2 days of our holiday at lapa lange and we couldn't have chosen a more pleasant place the hotel design and the gardens were perfect. We sat of an evening watching the animals gather around the water hole a really special place. The only little fault was our room blind and outside light was broken and despite asking staff to look into it nothing happened. But we would still love to return to this great place
