The igloo was lovely, very comfortable. We were sadly very unlucky with the weather - the wind caused an awful draft so it was very cold despite mutiple heaters. Was fine in bed thanks to the lovely heated mattress and thick duvet.

Location brilliant and great experience - we were lucky that the northern lights made an appearance!

We loved our igloo experience! It was so cosy and it kept really warm despite the cold weather outside and the crazy winds. The heated mattresses and hot chocolates were particular highlights. An unforgettable experience ☺️

Amazing place for a completely back to nature experience with all the little luxury add ons. Under floor heating, electric blankets - sleeping under the stars in the cosiest of places. Extra treat was the spectacular aurora borealis! If you visit Iceland this is a must visit spot.

Overall great stay. Lucky enough to see the northern lights. Only downfall was the curtains need to be a little bigger. By the time it goes around the bed and the door it leaves an opening about a foot wide. Also would be great if when prepping the room they left atleast 1 heater on. We got there and our igloo was freezing. Took about 20 minutes to finally start to warm up. The shared bathrooms were maybe a 45 second walk. Not far at all. Overall enjoyed it. Made for a great finish to our anniversary.

Unique experience, great way to be close to nature. Bit of a walk from the igloo to the bathroom and the parking area.

Fantastic experience sleeping in a clear igloo. We were able to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It was like the best of glamping experience inside our fully enclosed and very comfortable igloo. Highly recommend!!

Lovely way to enter the space by picking up a key and having a small fridge and glassware and clean amenities waiting. The horses and birdlife were really a wonderful addition to the midnight sun and the comfortable bedding and space was perfect!
A couple additions would make this space even that much easier: some composts or plates would have been great and maybe a wagon at the parking lot to bring things to the igloo would make for less hauling trips !
Finally the bathrooms were great; there just were not enough of them as there was often a queue for toilet or shower. Recommend adding a separate toilet only area!
Would love to come again during the winter!

Outstanding experience! Everything was just perfect! Staff was super helpful and friendly too. Wish there was some sort of blind to cover the top but I guess this wouldn’t make the experience the same. Never mind, it was brilliant!

You’d get a unique experience if weather is nice (for us it was not). The check in and out was very smooth and the igloo inside was very clean and comfy. The things I can complain about was the bathroom condition. There are only two for a total of 12 igloos, which makes you wait long in lines if ppl are taking shower… I think overall the experience was over priced, because I think the igloos are built east to west and even if there’s a nice weather and aurora you are likely not able to see it unless you are in the last igloo in the row

Quite a fun experience staying in an igloo, but good to know parking and shared bathrooms quite a distance away-so won’t be fun in bad weather. The complimentary hot chocolate there is the best ever!!

I recently had the most enchanting experience at the "Aurora Igloo" near Hella, Iceland. This accommodation is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and breathtaking views.
First and foremost, the bed was a dream! The cozy atmosphere of the glass igloo, coupled with the softness of the bed, made for an incredibly relaxing stay.
What truly sets Aurora Igloo apart is its ingenious heating system. The radiators in the igloo worked wonders, keeping the space warm and snug throughout the day and night. I was pleasantly surprised at how well-insulated and comfortable the igloo remained, even in the chilly Icelandic weather.
The highlight of my stay was, without a doubt, the spectacular view of the northern lights. It was a surreal experience, and I felt like I was in my own private winter wonderland.
Privacy is always a concern, especially in accommodations with glass walls, but Aurora Igloo has it covered. The circle curtains provided complete privacy without compromising the view.
Whether you're traveling solo or with a special someone, Aurora Igloo is the perfect retreat. The combination of comfort, warmth, privacy, and the mesmerizing northern lights makes it an unforgettable destination. If you're looking for a unique and magical experience, look no further than Aurora Igloo

Staying at this property was fun- you can see the starts on a clear night. Picking up the keys was easy and straight forward. You may want to check-in early and shower otherwise you may have no hot water. Also, if you need to pee in the middle of the night - you’ll need to walk to the bathrooms which is not far from the igloos but on a very cold night you’ll need get dressed again (jacket, hat, gloves) to get there. Unless you are a polar bear with no need for warm clothing.

We stayed at the igloo for 1 night end of November. The igloo was perfectly decorated and the view was obviously amazing and it felt very safe. The room came with two heaters and they were more than enough to keep the igloo warm ( we were staying with sleeveless pyjamas) We also had an issue with our key and the owner came within 5 minutes to check on us. The shared amenities ( bathroom) are in great condition and not far away from the igloos (something which I was concerned in the beginning).
Some small improvement suggestions:
1. It would be good to add a water kettle in the kitchen area.
2. As the bathrooms are shared it would be good to have some antiseptic wipes or a detol/ antibacterial spray in case someone wants to refresh the toilet before usage.
3. Some foot towels would also be great in the bathroom area.
We highly recommend this place to everyone who would like to experience staying in an igloo!
