Amazing stay at the newly renovated Aviator hotel. Rooms are spotless and very well furnished, mini fridge for anything you want to keep cold. Morning coffee and breakfast available.
The manager, Ernesto and staff were extremely welcoming & accommodating throughout my stay.
Location is ideal. 3 minute walk to Sullivan’s Steakhouse and the mall. 5 minute walk to F Street Station, best food in town.
Priced more than fair, I’ll certainly be back for my next business trip.

Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable and cozy. Great staff. Would happily come back. Much better than the first place I stayed in town but different location.

You will need to pay to park in a garage or behind the building. The rooms are nice though.

The Aviator was an absolute delight. Very clean, beautiful interior, loved the decor. The staff were also so friendly. Walking distance to most things downtown. Location was great.

This hotel is still under renovation. Not all systems were working as expected.

This property is trying so hard and really was an outstanding experience. The staff was amazingly kind and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed —the decorating is great. I was placed on the ground level which I didn’t love—windows on the street when I’m a solo female traveler are never a win, but I booked last minute at a discount rate so I want going to be silly about it.

Recently updated hotel within walking distance to Alaska railroad and dining.

Our stay was great. Very friendly staff.

Stayed here as very close to the train station - but just far enough away to not be too noisy. Hotel undergoing construction (we walked right past it the first time as no obvious signage). Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything you need.

CONSTRUCTION ALL AROUND ...WAIT TILL RENOVATIONS ARE DONE ...THE STAFF IS GREAT ..

The rooms were all newly remodeled, but the building is under construction. The elevator wasn’t working when we were there.

As everyone has noted, the property is undergoing renovation. So, it will look amazing when it is ready. At the moment, the inside is as good as perfect while the outside is being renovated.
The staff was quite helpful. Many thanks for that!
The breakfast is basic which makes sense since parts of the inside are also being renovated. So, only cold stuff is available. But, there are a small handful of really nice breakfast places nearby.
The parking is plentiful in spite of areas blocked due to renovation but would be nice to have one of the entrances behind the building opened so that people arriving late at night do not have to walk for several minutes from the parking to the inside.
May be a good idea to replace sliding door of bathroom with a regular door that opens into the room - will result in better privacy if traveling with friends, etc. The current door does not do a good job and removes one of public bathrooms.
The hotel is very close to the Alaska rail depot so be prepared for very loud noises from the trains very early in the day. Perhaps could be mitigated with thicker windows?

The property is undergoing renovation and truly not ready for guests yet. A temporary boardwalk is set up to reach the front door, there is insufficient housekeeping staff, and a temporary kitchenette for food service. Our room did not get serviced during our 3 day stay.

Everything was good except :
- renovation in progress.
- no elevators
- it’s not noise proof windows or building… you have the noise of the train… the noise of the road either side of the hotel…
Hotel clean and convenient

Nice new property but the property was under construction and a lot of the amenities were not available. Park was not included and the area had a lot of transient activity. Did not feel safe late at night outside the hotel in the surrounding area

It will be nice one day. Currently they have construction going on at their facilities and all the amenities are out of order, including the entrance on first floor.

The property is beautifully located in the downtown area and its remodeled rooms are comfortable and cosy. Once the construction finishes, it would indeed be top notch.

This hotel was under construction, which was understood before check in. That was not the problem. What was the problem was check in. Our flight got in at about 1:30 am, so we checked in at the hotel at about 2 am after a long day. Check in was very quick, but when we went to our room, the privacy door latch from inside the room was engaged, meaning someone was inside of the room we had just been assigned. When we went back to the front desk and explained that there was a person already in there, we were assigned a new room. If this had not been the middle of the night, this would not have been acceptable. New room was downstairs, and the stairwell smelled like mildew. The room was fine, the bed was big, comfortable, and clean (this is why 3 stars). The thermostat in the room didnt work, but the the climate was fine enough. Also, at like 4 am there werw odd sounds coming from the room above us which sounded like dice on a tile floor and some other banging noices. I assume it was a guest room above us, but the rooms are carpeted. Also didn't seem like construction because it was so early in the morning.
I'm from a big city, so the location didn't bother me much, but if you are uncomfortable with unhoused neighbors near the hotel, maybe splurge on a nicer place.
The hotel would have been decent for us if there wasn't thay huge check in mistake.

Under construction, but a decent place. Well located, easy walk to local restaurants and breweries, the Anchorage Museum is right around the corner.

Very new property, still under minor construction, with great design and a fantastic central location. Room decor is a classic mid-century motif, very well-appointed with lots of storage. Beds are comfortable and the property is impeccably clean.
Cons: A/C in the room didn’t work, and the “harbor view” is mostly the parking lot so don’t bother paying for an upgrade.
Highly recommend this hotel, the potential is huge once they finish their construction punch lists. I’ll definitely stay again!

Great and comfortable rooms. Nice to have a sitting area, separate small table, and chair in the room. This allows for laptop work to be done as well as drinks with a companion in the evenings. A couple of blocks walk from all dining and shopping locations.
