The location is really excellent and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Excellent value for price. Centrally located on the Res R line subway. Super friendly staff. Breakfast is phenomenal. Staff was so nice and even offered free umbrella rentals. Only one elevator but it was not an issue for us. Small rooms but clean and we loved it. Would stay here again

Due to the early arrival of my flight, I arrived at the hotel 8am on Oct 31 and had to wait for 7 hours to check in. There is no chair at the front and the staff did not offer me a chair in the small restaurant next door!
For a senior and a world traveller like me, it’s was a very bad experience!!

Chaiin is centrally located by the metro and post office, stores and places to eat.
In the other direction are the traditional morning fruit and vegetable stands and hole in the wall specialty shops.
Breakfast is in a welcoming bright and open area.
Foods are delicious and beautifully presented and staff is very welcoming.
The stay was a very nice experience!

This is a 3 star hotel, economical with excellent location. If you are looking for convenience with easy access to a MRT station, with plenty of food selections, this is a good choice.
They are not an upscale or luxurious but good enough.
It’s located in one of major tourists/shopping/food district called YongKong Street with many famous restaurants within walking distance.
Positives: has an elevator. Overall courteous staff with one exception with a person called Jacky who was rude and defensive with no customer service skills last time. But this time overall good across all staff. Complimentary bottled water, juices, candies available upon request. Clean bedding set. Courteous housekeeping staff who did a good job cleaning the room each time.
Negatives: Poor sound proof-can hear showering and conversation next door. Dirty laying on the ground and on the hallway.
Obvious wear and tear on towels. Cockroach found in the room once, but they treated it with a hotel wide pest control in the next few days.
Other comments:
1. the carpet shows obvious normal tear and tear, and the facility but not too bad. Looks pleasant.
2. you may order lunch box through them mondays-fridays around $5 USD.
3. If you will be mostly using MRT to get around Taipei, out sightseeing most of time, and just need a comfortable place to stay and sleep, this is a good option.
4. The gate/door is locked after 9 or 10pm, you can access with your room keys - for security purpose.

Great stay with Chaiin - experienced different room types as my initial booking room had a leak after an afternoon storm; seeing as it couldn’t be immediately rectified, I was upgraded and moved without any problem. Then moved again once my husband arrived to a bigger room (our second supposed booking) and everything was great once again. Appreciate the efforts to make the hotel a greener accommodation, and service staff were very friendly. Would happily stay again when in Taipei!

This was the first part of my week long stay at Chaiin and was a single room with no view. The room was on the same floor as the lobby and was surprisingly quiet. Part of the room was on a raised wooden platform with a mattress on it. Room was clean and modernly designed.

The place may be a little small. However, the location is very central and convenient. The provided breakfast is unexpectedly outstanding. They even open the restaurant space the rest of the day for customers to use with their own food. The staff are very friendly, especially those taking care of the catering services, noticeably the team Kevin, Winnie and Vicky. We enjoyed our stay, though we struggled a little to get the chargers working on the room sockets. Overall, very good value.

I booked 2 rooms and my bedroom has a bathroom facing the streets (with proper blinds) but it was different. I was extremely happy with the location and was able to walk 5 minutes to Dongman station and buy a MRT subway ticket to ride a few stops to Taipei 101 within a few hours of arrival. Across the streets are affordable shopping and beef noodle for $5 (180 Taiwanese dollars). Much better than the upscale DinTai Fung the front desk recommended. I love the Asian buffet breakfast and tried everything but my partner survived on their egg, bread and salad. The breakfast service people are very sweet. I would give this hotel a 5 star except for their old dirty rugs and my room did get warm and we almost had to change room but thankfully the AC kicked back in. The only thing is the elevator is slow and we often took the stairs. They gave complimentary umbrellas which was helpful. Free water, snacks, candies and juice was definitely a winsome bonus. The bed is firm (they put 2 twin beds together). I loved it, my partner hated it. The boys room is fine and not as hot since their windows are smaller. We were walking distance to Daan park and Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial. Love the roomy walk-in showers. I talked to a Canadian who’s actually living there for 3 months til August and he said this hotel is great for its money. Wouldn’t mind staying here again next time I come. Best of all is the washing machine and dryer. Free detergent but need 50 cents/load.
