Veronica the manager arranged for an airport transfer for us. The driver waited for us right at the door of the airport.
At the hotel Veronica greeted us and in 5 mins we were in our rooms. It has a very comfy brd and A/C, overall pleasant experience. The breskfast is also tasty (from locsl goods) and more than enough to start the day. Absolutely recommended!

Arrived at the Bright Star after 24 hours of travel. Felt welcomed like a member of the family. The hotel was clean, room furnishings were basic, the bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water and the wi-fi was excellent. The staff were very nice and full breakfast very good. Veronica the manager responded to my pre-arrival inquiries quickly and was very attentive. The hotel was several kilometers from the city center, a short walk of the main street and, as a result, much quieter than downtown Arusha. I loved the feel of the place. This is an excellent budget option and overall excellent place to stay.

Veronica was fantastic, helping me with all sorts of stuff. The hotel is basic, but then the price is low.
Clean, good bed, parking available. Entrance is down a narrow alleyway. There is sign at the junction of the alley and the main road and Google Maps finds the place accurately (unlike plenty of other stuff in Tanzania). Overall, a great deal.

Bright Star Hotel is located in Sakina, part of Arusha, not far from the city centre, close to the Arusha College.
The hotel is in a side road, around 100 meters from the main road A104. The area is safe, at least for me as a white male, and I enjoyed walking around. The city centre is around 2-3 km, and I walked a lot. You can take a car or motorbike (boda boda). The boda boda is 1000 TZS. The car should be 5000 TZS. I installed the app inDriver, but didn't use, because I walked everywhere.
The hotel is secured and very safe. It has a dining area with TV. Th

This place was such a pleasant surprise! We initially booked a different accommodation but had to cancel it due to issues with the host. We booked this hotel last minute and I am so glad we did!
The rooms were clean, comfortable and a great price, for a budget hotel. We ended up staying at the hotel for additional nights, due to vehicle problems we encountered.
What made our stay so exceptional, however, was the incredible hospitality and helpfulness of the hotel staff, including the hotel manager, Veronica. While all of the staff were warm, and accommodating for us, Veronica was a real lifesaver.
Our vehicle had to be taken to the mechanic unexpectedly on our first day, and by the time we realized we would not have the car for the following day to do park tours, its was already after 10 pm. Veronica quickly jumped in, calling a guide with an appropriate car at about 11 p.m., and the guide arrived at our hotel the next morning to take us on a safari tour to Tarangire for the day. The guide Veronica recommended was affordable (not something that can be said for many of the safari operators in Arusha), knowledgeable and we used him for subsequent day trips when our vehicle issues persisted.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough, mostly due to the hospitality and professionalism of the staff employed here!

The property was excellent value for money. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The provided breakfast was very substantial. The only criticism was the structural layout of the bathroom which had poor drainage so after a shower the floor was always wet. Jandals were provided to help keep the feet above the water, which was effective.
The property was quite a distance, 3 km, from the clocktower. We didn't mind the walk, others might.
All in all a nice place for the price

The staff at the Bright Star hotel were very nice and helpful. The hotel could do with a bit new paint in the interiors but again, the staff makes up for this by having the cleanest interiors ever, with shiny floors and a room cleaner than some 5* I have stayed at. People were super nice and made us dinner despite we arrived very late and were the only ones there. Breakfast was imcluded and also very nice.
Take into account the hotel offers typical Arusha accommodation, the bed is good, wide but a bit short (which is typical bedding here, and it doesn't make a lot of sense since Tanzanians are tall people). Local cuisine for tourists includes potatoes, fish or chicken and some sort of salad. Food takes long to be ready if you are the only one at the hotel, which is a good sign that everything is fresh made.

We were very sceptical about accommodation in Arusha as we were almost conned to pay additional money by 2 other establishments in the area. Yes, they were a few petty things we can complain about, but our host Veronica more than made up for it. At the end of the day, GREAT service and a clean bathroom and bed, is what does it for me and my family.
