About this house rental
This space comes with a large main guest bedroom, a spacious-yet-cozy den, a sitting/dining room/office/bedroom (with a deck), a bathroom and a laundry room. All rooms (aside from the bathroom) come with views of the redwoods.
The main guest bedroom has a queen bed, TV (with Netflix and Amazon Prime) and a small table perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or tea. If you're lucky, you will also experience a visit from the owl that likes to perch on the rafters outside the window!
The den has a big screen TV (also with Amazon Prime and Netflix), a large, comfortable couch and a fold-up, mini ping-pong table. There is also room for an airbed (which we supply).
The sitting/dining room/office/bedroom comes with a daybed, a dining table, an office nook and a deck, perfect for enjoying the serenity of the redwoods.
The laundry room/kitchenette offers the following for your basic cooking needs: a mini-fridge, a kettle, a microwave, a two-burner hob and an air-fryer. It is not designed for those who like to cook a lot.
Our property is right on the edge of the Monte Vista hiking trail, which leads to the Tenderfoot and Cypress hiking trails, and a fifteen-minute walk to attractions like Cascade Falls and the Three Wells.
Before Covid, my husband and I used to commute daily to San Francisco. It is around a twenty-minute drive to the freeway.
As in much of Mill Valley, the cell phone service is patchy here, but you can use WiFi for calling.
Please note; while people love the feel of being up in the redwoods, the drive to the house is at the top of a winding, often-single-lane road! It takes seven minutes once you leave the main road to get up to our house. If mountain driving makes you nervous, this may not be the best place for you.
We have a dog so if you have allergies this may not be the best spot for you (although he never goes downstairs where your space is).
With regards to your pets; service animals are welcome! We love animals, but given that we have our own we generally adhere to a “no-pets” rule. That said, we are open to discussion!
We live upstairs and we are available should you need anything. That said, there is a door that separates the two floors so you will also have privacy.
