About this house rental
This memorable house is the perfect home base for your stay in Seattle. Lovely and relaxing 100 year old home overlooking Lake Washington in secluded enclave of multi-million dollar homes. Recently renovated for the ultimate in luxury stays! State of the art kitchen opens to formal dining room; large living room opens to the back patio with lush landscaping and outdoor dining. The house is equipped with all the necessary amenities including washer & dryer, ironing board, linens & towels, TVs in every bedroom with cable, WiFi, and a fully stocked kitchen. Situated just south of the I90 bridge and convenient to downtown Seattle, Mercer Island and Bellevue. Whether you're exploring the vibrant city, enjoying lake activities, or simply enjoying a cozy night in, we think our place will help you experience everything Seattle has to offer!
Our beautiful home offers 3 bedrooms upstairs with an additional fourth bedroom area in the basement. The master upstairs boasts a king bed with Purple mattress; the second and third bedrooms upstairs have queen beds. The basement bedroom has a king Westin Heavenly bed along with a sitting area. All four bedrooms have televisions with cable.
The master bedroom has it's own bathroom ensuite with standalone glass-enclosed shower, a large bathtub, and two vanities. The second bathroom is shared among the two other bedrooms and has a tub and shower combo. There is a half bath on the main floor.
Feel free to use our laundry area in the basement with brand new washer and dryer.
If you are familiar with the Pacific Northwest, you know that most homes do not offer AC; our 100 year old home does NOT offer central air conditioning. We have also added portable air conditioners to each one of the upstairs bedrooms. You can also open the top of the front dutch door for airflow. Unless there is a heatwave, the house stays pretty cool inside. Windows can also be propped open; we have original and restored 100 year old windows so please take care when opening. Most of our windows do open easily.
PLEASE NOTE: Seattle is very hilly and our home is built on a steep lot. While this is great for our views of the lake, it does mean we have a lot of stairs so please take this in to account while choosing to stay in our home. There are several steps (22) coming up from the street in the front, and several steep and narrow steps (27) coming down to the backdoor from the alleyway. The back set of steps do not have any handrails. There are also three levels to the house with stairs going down to the basement, and stairs going up to the bedrooms on the top level.
