Distinctly Average. Very dated but reasonable price and clean. Wouldn't return but can't complain about anything.

Generally had a good stay - the room was comfortable and the breakfast was particularly good. The only complaint was that the walls were quite thin and we were kept awake at night by some people chatting loudly next door. For that reason we might hesitate to stay there again.

Rooms are beyond basic, decor is shabby 1970s without the chic, the taps wouldn't turn off in the bathroom and the shower pressure was pathetic. Parking is an extra £10 overnight on the weekend. Breakfast was pretty average for a hotel buffet, but I was astonished to be asked if I wanted anything from the bar, like a beer or spirits. It was 9:30AM!

Hotel was in a great location. Staff friendly. Room a bit dated but was clean and comfortable. Only one lift working at the time which was frustrating. Some areas of corridors lights were out. Dining room was nicely set out, breakfast buffett varied choice. Good value for money.

An expensive budget hotel. Clean and comfortable just a bit tired.

All staff on reception, bar and security were good and welcoming. The hotel is very dated but clean. The corridors are very noisy so did not sleep that well. Good location though and perfect for 1 night away.

Ok overall stay for the one night, as a place to lay your head it was what you need. Rooms were a little old fashioned, and had a strange smell. Nothing bad, just old smelling. It would be a good place to stay for hitting the town, or for the football.

Such a bad hotel with poor service! AVOID AVOID AVOID! If you do book (don’t) don’t expect to get a room anything like on the pictures. Made a complaint and emailed 4 times…can’t even be bothered to reply ! Expedia should be ashamed promoting this hovel on their site.

Hotel bathroom was still dirty when we arrived especially the shower/bath and sink. Worse part was when we tried to check out the receptionist had lost my car keys meaning we left an hour after check out when wanting to leave at 9 making me late for work! Very little apologies or actions were made to make the situation any better, the receptionist just said “the other staff put them someone and I can’t find them, it’s not my fault but I will text them and ask where” which was extremely frustrating and made us very late leaving

My bad review of this property may appear a little unfair given that I never even set foot in it. However, that was through no fault of my own, and I am still paying for it now. I booked a 2 night stay here, only to be called at 6pm on the day of planned arrival to be told that they had overbooked my room for both nights, meaning that at 6pm I had to try to find another hotel in Bournemouth. Everywhere was fully booked, so I had to turn the car around and head back home again! I was told by the very unhelpful, unapologetic woman on the phone that no money would be taken out of my account but would be in a ‘pending’ account somewhere. This would then be refunded to me within 5 days. Over one month later I am still awaiting this refund. Every time I call either Expedia or the Roundhouse Hotel to find out where my money is, I go round and round in circles. No one working in the hotel seems to be able to clarify with Expedia that I never attended the hotel in the first place, and Expedia don’t appear to record any conversation I’ve ever had with them, meaning I spend much of my time explaining the situation again and again, only to be met with the same response “we are waiting on the hotel to confirm you never stayed there”. I will never use Expedia again, nor would I ever recommend the company to anyone else. As for the Roundhouse Hotel, if it’s service in house is anything like it’s customer service over the phone, I dodged a bullet by not staying there.

Very good location, closed to the sea, train station and local amenities.Very hot in the room, 5th floor even though the radiator wasn't on and temperature outside was normal for the time of the year

Check in quick, lots of parking spaces and staff friendly. Room terrible. Door wouldn’t lock properly without slamming. Stained carpet coming away from the wall, curtains dirty, headboards on bed revolting, fixtures and fitting dated. Bathroom coming apart- loose tiles door no lock and horrible. On a plus side bedding and towels were fresh and clean. Would definitely never stay here again even though £105 per night or recommend.
