It has been decades since I've stayed at a microtel. It definitely has changed, drastically. However, the employees at this location were very friendly, even when one of my guests became belligerent. I stayed two nights and I was dissatisfied that there was not coffee available except for in the mornings breakfast; neither was there a hot plate, or a hot pot, or a microwave available in the room. The hot water coming from the bathroom sink and bathtub faucets was slow to rise, however, once it became hot, it was hot.
I love the microtel concept, however, it no longer appears to be for people on a budget.

Immediately on entering there is this “Erie” feeling. A dimly lit lobby, exposed wiring and the floors creaked like a horror movie. There was an unexpected $75 deposit (smoking) that is not acknowledged anywhere except a piece of printed paper taped to the wall. The first room had a cigarette burn mark on the comforter and “mysterious” stains on the sheets. I didn’t know that someone else’s hair in the bed was included with the stay. There was also a leak under the sink in the bathroom. Staff were happy to provide another room where we were met with the smell of smoke, loose tobacco and a urine stain under the sheets. The stain went through the topper and the mattress itself. Upon leaving (5 mins later), I found that I had already been charged the full length of the stay. The clerk attempted to refund only one night not the two and the deposit that I was billed. I should have known better because there were no cars in the parking lot. No cars=no guests. I work as a registered nurse visiting the area. This experience completely eliminated this hotel from consideration in housing accommodations as a travel nurse new to this area.

The room had on towels or pillows when I checked in. The room also, had a light, could not switched off. It is located in a good spot.

Good to see the property was remodeled, but that's the only positive factor. The first room I was offered the last occupant left a #2 deposit in the toilet that was never addressed. In addition it took several keycards to gain access to the first and second room.
The room I ultimately stayed in was missing the toilet paper holder and the shower curtain rod mounting was damaged causing the curtain to remain open letting water spray onto the wall. Rooms are very sparse with almost institutional feel - vinyl floors, limited fixtures/furniture and no closet. An anecdote toward the service, in shuttling between rooms apparently I dropped my vest, which happens to be a very visible yellow. In searching for it in the morning I first inquired at the desk who were largely indifferent upon receiving the issue. As luck would have it, I turned the corner of the hallway just off the lobby and there it was still on the floor - no movement in 8 hours! Hard to believe none of the staff or guests didn't see it to take action. In short, if you can swing a few extra bucks, stay elsewhere.

Not the best, but convenient and quiet,

The room smelt like smoke even though the rooms are supposed to be non smoking. There were crumbs in the corners under the bench. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean but the room just smelt disgusting.

Stay was great. Had to switch rooms because no lights worked in first room. Car batteries and tires in grass in parking lot. Everything else was great.

Checkin was easy. Unfortunately that was the best it got. Room was dirty when we got there but had already been “cleaned”. Walls in the room were dirty. Floors were disgusting and obviously hadn’t been cleaned. Hot water was lukewarm at best, shower head sprayed water all over the wall. For the cost of the room I definitely expected better. Will never stay here again.

Room was non smoking and it smelled horrible with cigarette odor and air freshener to cover it up. Checkin staff was grossly unqualified. The cost escalation for that dump was insulting!

The doors were so loud that any time anyone left or entered their rooms, the sound echoed down the halls. The bathroom floor was sticky, but otherwise everything was really clean and comfortable.

We were in room 212. The door is not secured. We just pushed the door and it opened. We informed front desk as we were leaving for tge game. Upon arriving back, we discovered the door had not been fixed. The room was not as clean. But we arrived at 11:30 pm. We couldn't find anything else that time of night. Check in was excellent and the young lady that checked us in was very friendly, nice and helpful.Go Dawgs!!

This hotel has gone downhill in the last 2 years. Our family has stayed here in the past several times a year because it' close to family. This time I arrived to check in and there was NO HOTEL EMPLOYEE ON tHE PROPErTY FOR 45-55 minutes? a blind customer came out of his room while I was waiting to check in and stumbled around trying to get to the front desk for help because his room phone wasn't working and he couldn't get anyone. He did not have a shower curtain, no remote and the phone wasn't working. Three men arrived and wanted to check in and waited 20-25 minutes because they had a reservation and had been working all day in the hot sun and decided to leave and find rooms elsewhere after waiting so long for someone to show up! Finally, the manager happened to pull up and I told her no one had been there for 45 -50 minutes. she acted surprised. I finally got to go into one room and there was mold all over the floor in the shower...had not been cleaned? the 2nd room smelled horrible. Finally, the 3rd room we tried was ok but the air conditioner was set on 62 and everything felt damp in the room the entire time we were there....the floor even had a damp film on it ... gross. Probably do not have any dehumidifiers in those old units. That was our LAST time staying there! It was a horrible experience. Thankfully we only slept & showered there because we were with family but I will never stay there again. Oh, and the missing employee had been at Chiptole eating?

Te Orel was not clean at all, the lobby was dirty, carpet unclean, rain dripping from the ceiling and floor wet. The room we were given, the sink was leaking, they had to give us another room, which was much bette. The worst breakfast of any hotel I have stayed

Sheets were stained and hair was left in the bathtub. No stopper in tub. $50 CASH deposit required! Was not prepared for that so almost not able to check in. Smells musty. TV stopped working, said they would send someone, and no one ever came to look.

Better than what I was expecting from a typical Microtel. Rooms were bigger and seem to have been recently renovated. If not, they've been very well-kept. Only slight is that apart from check-in, there was never anyone at the front desk.

The property is walking distance to the local Walmart and a Target.

The property was OK. The actual hotel itself was disappointing. The rooms lacked any extra anything. No closet, No drawers, No extras like a hairdryer, soap, shampoo. We got 2 towels. There was no elevators so we had to drag suitcases upstairs which had no handrails. The young man that checks me in tried to charge me $50. I told him I was not aware of this and said OK and tried to give him my debit card. He said no we only take cash for that. I did not trust that. The continental breakfast was not good. I've stayed in a Microtel before which is why I booked this room. For a $150 I guess I just expected a lot more.

No elevator. No hair dryer. Card machine wasn’t working and had to pay with cash.
4.0 / 10.0
We arrived to be told we had to provide a $50 cash deposit, which we didn't have and was not listed anywhere on the website. No elevator, random open rooms full of trash. A dive with a high price. We checked right back out

Checking in was great. Got to the room. Had to go to front desk due to toilet paper. (One enough for one use). Only 2 towels for 3 people (addressed). When to look for plug ins, under the beds had trash, not been cleaned in, I don’t know when. The bathroom wall looked as if a bug was smashed in on the wall. The smoke detector had no battery. The shades was broken and a small lizard was dead inside the screen window. The air unit had not been wiped off. BUT, the bed was comfortable. I just expected clean from them and have had better from Motel 6 with half the price.

Room was nasty: someone else's clothes in the floor by one of the beds, brownish colored spot on comforter, hair on the sheets, shower was wet but did not appear from being cleaned. No microwave, no mini-fridge. One light not working. Staff was not friendly and did not offer any changes...simply said sorry. Will never recommend anyone even considering this property.

I booked a room for me and my two friends who are homeless because they had nowhere to stay and I asked them to leave and they called the police on me because I was kicking them out of the room and the hotel decided to kick me out as well for no reason at all and they kept my deposit and would not give me a refund and we had only been at the hotel for a couple hours. And that was all the money that I had and they also barred me from the premises for no absolute reason at all and I had no way of leaving the premises because I had no money so I had to walk to the other side of town to get a room at the bulldog thanks to my boyfriend because of it wasn't for him I wouldn't have had nowhere to stay.

No one thinks to ask "Do you have an elevator?" SHOULD HAVE! I just had knee surgery and got put on 2nd floor with no elevator. When I asked to be assigned a different room, the manager said "We can't move you, we can refund your money and let you go somewhere else." I finally get up to my room and find it very minimalistic. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee, no daily housekeeping, basically a bed and toilet. Breakfast was cereal or a bagel. This is certainly not what I expected for what I paid.

I enjoyed everything about this place
